And the rest?

Wish I could be as calm as you. I didn't think he was clear at and raised more questions than before.

As a chronic asthmatic who is given flu jabs, regular steroids as precaution and has had asthma attacks I can promise you I'm not calm at all.

I heard the answer and am presuming the answer will be on the website later.

Everything seemed quite normal today at work.Someone had LBC news on the radio. All morning I had to listen to the fact that the markets were literally imploding. It felt quite bizarre. Can honestly see 90% of The worlds economy’s having to go on some sort of universal credit until a vaccine is produced. All finance suspended. We work for food and energy.

Had a lovely letter from my pension/investment broker today:

Dear Izzy (not my real name )

"We are writing to inform you that as of close of business on Thursday 12th March, the value of your investment portfolio as referenced by the above account number, has fallen by 15.41% since your last quarterly valuation statement"

Why’s there french subtitles on the french presidents corona virus speech when he’s talking in french

For French viewers, I guess.

Surely the best thing to have done early doors was shut the borders. Look at countries like Russia and Mongolia, shut their borders early doors and have been largely unaffected.

I think we are 11 or 12 days in.  Our fatalities are in line with their day 9.

Scary to see if we are 79 deaths tomorrow. We have followed the exact same increase days 9 to 10 as Italy ........

I don't get how that’s surprising We have English subtitles on our programmes that are spoken in English

Ain't surprised the people at the top are scared of making the call, 90% of the country seem to already be acting like brainless dickheads. If we're in this state when there's not actually a problem imagine it if anything happens to supply lines.

Grown ****ing adults needing bigger adults to hold their sodding hands. Tell us what to do pls pls pls. Don't ****ing buy 60 bags of pasta you daft twats and stay indoors unless you have to flipping leave. It's not hard is it.

I understand it, if you have a job were you can work at home instead of going into an office, work from home! If you Have a job were it’s impossible to work from home and you Don’t  have symptoms, go to work, like my self i work for the railway industry so impossible to work from home, And while the trains are still running i have to go work keep the country moving

I have a job where we can easily work from home. After Boris' press conference this evening we've been told to still come in as normal.

so if anyone gets bored staying at home , try and look up a tv drama from 2008 called Survivors.

Its basically how  a mutated form of influenza wipes out almost the entire world population.

its actually fairly good  :)

Does make you wonder if some people realise the gravity of the situation and what will happen if it goes on longer. This could go on for months and on and off for a year or two. Even if all the pubs and restaurants were told to close by the government - surely insurance companies can't afford to pay out on all businesses for any length of time?

Where I work, we were being given software to work from home. There was someone who was refusing to use it to begin with. Still thought if the schools were to close she'd get full pay to look after her kids. It came as a complete suprise to her that her employer doesn't have to give her full sick pay to look after a dependant.

If it carried on for a really long time: would it get to the point where governments say to airlines 'we're not bailing you out'. We have business that serve people everyday who are more important atm. You could see some really big businesses go under.

Someone today was joking about the stock exchange tanking - completely unware that their pension is linked to that.
