We do have quite a bit of flexibility at the back, more so if this guy joins. With Evans ageing, Morgan frankly past it, and Benkovic struggling in the Championship on loan, I do think it’s smart to sign at least 1 however... kingfox Posted 31 August 2020 Share Posted 31 August 2020 WOW, finally wake up to some positive transfer news. It looks quite likely that we will see a formation of 3-4-1-2 on the cards. Some may not agree with it, but I would fully understand Brendan’s reasons for playing it. Playing with wingers last season failed many times, Barnes was incredibly inconsistent, Perez is clearly not a winger, Gray isn’t good enough and Albrighton can still do a job, but him as a starting winger isn’t ideal. Rodgers did say he wanted more goals in the side, it will be hard to find a winger who will get us 15-20 goals a season. Just sign a lb. we do t need anymore versatile players. Sign a specialist left back who is going to have an impact.
