Looked very good imo playing there after the restart.

Yeah agreed, also overlooked as a reason that it wouldn’t be a disaster to miss out of signing a striker this window. Although I prefer that would happen if we are going to play 352, along with 1/2 more CBs.

More reason why we need a left footed right winger 😢

Exactly. We were linked with Trincao so it seems we are after one but that’s a tough position to recruit for. As every season passes it just reminds us what an insane signing Mahrez was for his transfer fee. I could see that position being filled on deadline day, loaning someone from a big team that said team are desperate to shift.

The right player would add 20+ goals through contributions per season which would be massive.

Justin is an option at CB - in fact, arguably his best performance for us came at CB.

Yes, fair point. We do have quite a bit of flexibility at the back, more so if this guy joins. With Evans ageing, Morgan frankly past it, and Benkovic struggling in the Championship on loan, I do think it’s smart to sign at least 1 however...

Adam Ounas from Napoli, season long loan with an option to buy.

WOW, finally wake up to some positive transfer news.

It looks quite likely that we will see a formation of 3-4-1-2 on the cards.

Some may not agree with it, but I would fully understand Brendan’s reasons for playing it. Playing with wingers last season failed many times, Barnes was incredibly inconsistent, Perez is clearly not a winger, Gray isn’t good enough and Albrighton can still do a job, but him as a starting winger isn’t ideal.

Rodgers did say he wanted more goals in the side, it will be hard to find a winger who will get us 15-20 goals a season. I could be wrong, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Rodgers signs another striker instead of a winger, Edouard potentially.

I can’t wrap my head round this. We’re going to end up with about 7 versatile squad players. Just sign a lb. we do t need anymore versatile players. Sign a specialist left back who is going to have an impact.

I think we’re in serious trouble if this is the best we can do.

I am a bit confused as to why the only full-back we’ve been linked with that isn’t an out-and-out left/left-wing back is the one we’ll be getting to play left back.

Only left back linked with? Have you been under a rock for the last month? The bar went as low as Matt Targett.

Way better than I feared we’d do, TBH. He can certainly play on the left, which he will when Ricardo comes back.  But he’ll likely play RB with JJ on the left until then, and move back to the right when Ricardo is sold sometime in the next two windows.

No I meant as in we’ve been linked with loads, but out of them all he’s the only one that isn’t a specialist in the position and he’s the one we’re apparently going to sign!

If this goes through, it will confuse me almost as much as Doherty to Spurs has.

Yes it’s an odd one . I think Spurs are shopping at TK Maxx these days ( Hojberg/ Doherty/ Gray?. They’ve got massive debt to service and a squad with declining resale value - they’re trying to flog Aurier for bundles and Doherty will replace him
