Dodgy tweet doing the rounds purported to be from @lemaglequipe but actually sourced from a dodgy GFFN twitter  account which is @ amartey areshole saying ASSE board will accept our offer.

 

assume this will become accepted narrative by the morning .......but it isn’t ......!

There aware that we've lost our most important defensive lynchpin in N'didi and are just playing silly buggers now. It's becoming like the mini version of Sancho & Manu saga. Can we send a few heavies over to France and rough Puel up a bit? That will snap him him out of his French stubbornness. COYF lets get the deal done and move on. I'm really nervous about this weekend's game!

Schira has tweeted that ASSE will sell for €40m inc add ons. West Ham aren’t that far short. According to Romano’s tweet, we are! 
 

this is the first time that anyone on any modicum of  ‘reliability’ has publicised a figure that would seal a deal. I suspect these numbers are way higher than we are prepared to go to although Brendan’s comments on Wednesday that he may not now have the resources to get another striker in could reveal some adjustment in budgeting. (Unless that relates to a loan deal to cover CDM). 
 

i would have thought the add ons could be structured in a way that protects the buying club as much as benefiting the seller.  I think with a view to the future (whether it’s on the pitch or financial ), paying the extra for this kid makes more sense than a sticking plaster type deal that a more experienced defender would be.  However, if we came to a deal now on fofana where we bought now and season loaned back for a slightly lesser fee and then loaned in a Tah type then that would also be acceptable with a view forward.

We have players to shift ie Ghezzal, Diabate, Slimani, Silva and a few more, surely as we are already paying their wages or a big proportion of them we could loan/give them to Puel and continue subsidising them plus the €30 million they are after, win win all round...

If only Carlsberg did transfer windows.. :scarf:

Diabate has gone. Slim and Silva are in their final years - I would have thought that puel will want to use any ‘income’ to develop the side with younger players. I think we have plans to get a bit more in for ghezzal than to just chuck him into a loan deal with no financial benefit to us re budgeting.
