Same posters always about any time he’s mentioned, it’s quite relevant he will be when we’re after Fofana. On a forumn people have opinons yet any negative critique like a broken record they appear.

Puel is not just the coach or manager of Sainté, he is a member of the board and was tasked to redress the worsening financial situation of the club. He did well getting rid of 5 or 6 high earners, some of them he himself signed last year, but he also released all the youths who won the championship in their category and only kept Wesley Fofana, Benkhedin and 3 others because they had already signed professional contracts at 18, a year before Claude took charge. Puel having a questionable track record in recognising talent, LCFC are better off getting in touch with the released defenders and giving them a once-over. Let's not forget that this is the guy who released Benrahma at Nice and signed his son, gone awol to date.

for me, if he has mentioned reducing the wage bill, that's him starting to pave the way for the player to leave, while managing fan expectations after his stance on fighting so hard to keep him. now he has an excuse if he is overruled.

Fofana is on less than 20 bags a week, if they sell him and we lob Amartey or Benkovic the other way then we are either subsidising either wages or ASSE aren't reducing their wage bill at all. 

 

£30m up front + 10% sell on + either Benkovic or Amartey on a season long loan with 75% wages subsidy.

West Ham have given Saint-Etienne until tomorrow to accept their take-it-or-leave-it offer for Wesley Fofana. 

West Ham do not want to get into a bidding war for the 19-year-old centre-back. 

Their offer is £23m plus £10m in add-ons and they are proposing to pay the £23m in six annual instalments.
