Puel vetoed

Problem: Claude Puel vetoed the departure of Fofana this summer. An intermediate solution - validated by ASSE and Leicester - would be to sign the player at the English club with an automatic loan this season, like the successful operation with William Saliba at Arsenal. Here too, this option was swept aside by Puel. Right in his boots and turned towards his project, the Castresian wishes to make a point with Fofana ... in a year. 

 

Sounds to me like he does want to come and will come, but there's no way we'd loan him back for a season!! Oh Claude :crylaugh:

Staying at an English families gaff who only eats beans and little sausages and watch Eastenders, government have agreed that counts as quarantine and will eurostar it in to London tomorrow and be sounds as fcuk for Sundays game.

all agreed, €30m, medicals done, Puel not happy with Benkovic on loan (not enough qualiteee) and this is holding up the deal?

 

would explain Benko’s absence from the friendly at the weekend

I wouldn't be surprised if our owners are on good terms with Puel (at least on a professional level). I don't think they're the type to burn bridges.

 

For example, Pearson was still trusted with the Leuven job, they said Shakey will always be welcome at the club, Claudio was invited to the Burnley game when Vichai sadly passed..


Maybe the negotiations for Fofana have been quite smooth because of our owners professional relationship with Puel.

Why would we be dealing directly with Puel? 
 

Their board may ask if he’s happy with a player going out on loan to them, but surely that isn’t going to stop them from accepting £27m.

Fofana following us last week, unfollowing us, following Papy Mendy then unfollowing him too is surely a sign that the club have agreed personal terms with him and he's gone to ask Mendy what Leicester's like.

 

We're now at the stage where St. Etienne are media posturing to make it look like they tried their best to extract a big fee from us and tried to keep him, and City are just trying to bring the fee down or talking to them about instalments and so on.

 

We have seen deals like this before - from whispers I heard the club sorted Dennis Praet's contract in July and it then took them a couple of weeks, in between sorting Maguire out and other deals, to negotiate the fee.

 

I'm not ITK fwiw but this would be typical City.

 

And ASSE need a replacement. What you describe is the reality of a transfer deal. 

 

There was a lot of talk about Ajax signing Braian Cufre, a left-back from Velez in Argentina. It's yet to happen. If it did, Tagliafico is open  to go.

Quite…. He’s the head coach

 

Naturally he’ll have input into comings and goings, but, ultimately it’s up to the club

 

it’d be plain odd if he was pleased about losing a young talent….

I think that might be because we look much more closely at our club than all the others, partially. Much like we think we are done over by former players/players who've not scored for 10 years, that is simply because we notice it more when it happens to us.
