Thanawat Suengchitthawon

Recommended Posts

Was literally thinking the other day actually that it’s pretty crazy we’ve never had any Thai players at the club on a professional contract basis, suppose there’s issues around work permits.

As others have said he’ll no doubt end up at Leuven on loan next year.

If memory serves there are/were quite a lot of Thai players at Leuven for a while. It's been KP's ambition to improve Thai football for quite a while, though as a side project with us as the main focus of everything:

Leuven have had one Thai play for their first team and he’s left.

Not even Nancy have wanted to offer him a professional contract during his time there, not expecting much from him

“In the end, you realise the luck you had once the player is gone, has become a starter in a great club or in a first-team. I can give you a concrete example: my player, Thanawat Suengchitthawon, is going to Leicester City for three years, but Nancy never offered him a professional contract.”

One thing we can be sure of and that's he's not being signed for his football ability.

How good do you have to be to be capped at French U-17 level?
