Popular Post Hoopla10 Posted 5 April 2021 Popular Post Share Posted 5 April 2021 I'm 100% behind the idea we're in DIRECT competition with ManU. We as a club should have our eyes firmly on finishing second. Not only would that be close to what we achieved in our title win (with COVID, with European games, with a good FA cup run) but because we're stamping our credentials on the league. Not some team that luckily found themselves in the top four then played defense for the rest of the season. A team that battles for everything. That being said, WHAT THE **** WAS THE REFEREE AND VAR DOING LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! How was that not a pen??? Team's PL survival, team's table position etc (all things that have a LOT of money and futures riding on them) all rely on them doing their job properly (or at least competently). They get given VAR to clear up these sorts of mistakes and they still let it happen. I find it anger-inducing. It makes VAR irrelevant imo because even the ones they do get right, how is that fair? What happens when the same thing happens at the other end of the pitch (as we've seen this season) and the ref blows for a pen and VAR agrees? On top of all that, it's Maguire AGAIN!!! Has he got a free pass to manhandle people in the box? Because it happens an awful lot and he NEVER gets punished for it. I'm not somebody who easily reaches for the tinfoil hat but it doesn't half seem weird at times. 4

I believe Davinson Sanchez was abused with racist emojis on his account. I simply don’t understand how people are just able to get away with it - of course there are those with mental issues who may not understand what they’re doing (well they do but will be excused). Those who are responsible should simply be charged and publicly shamed in the local media. That will hopefully act as a deterrent to others and it, like many things of this nature, will become socially unacceptable.

Chelsea have had an argument in the dressing room yesterday and a scrap at training today. I think we've got a spirit about us this year that I didn't see last year, could be wrong but we've passed a lot of big tests this year. Still plenty to pass but I'm still confident. Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see what West Ham do tonight and next week. That 3 goal capitulation may well have caused some lingering aftermath. Saw a lot of people had reported the culprit and had recieved responses from the platform saying the offending post hadn't breached the platform's guidelines. Can only see it getting worse as the social media platforms don't give a toss (verified accounts = less views =less revenue) and are giving people (in the loosest sense of the word) opportunity to behave disgracefully with zero consequences. UniFox21 Posted 5 April 2021 Share Posted 5 April 2021 Ole complaining about players jumping between rival clubs is such a stupid rant. Especially regarding Aguero, where most teams in world football would love to have him.
cruzFOX Posted 5 April 2021 Share Posted 5 April 2021 After our mildly disappointing loss at the weekend it’s nice to hear news about Chelsea moral capitulating or injuries to certain key rival players. Still miffed about slab head getting away with murder and Brighton blowing it.

The Rice news could be very significant for our season.

Tielemans63 Posted 5 April 2021 Share Posted 5 April 2021 Rice getting injured is massive for West Ham. I'll be honest, I thought he was massively overrated but watching him in games recently, I've changed my opinion, I think he's a very good player, controls the game really well from midfield.
