Remember seeing Ben Marshall in the KFC on the Narborough Road after our first home game of the 2012-13 season against Peterboro.

He was with a number of his cronies and my 82 year old dad appeared to be looking in his direction when one his mates piped up and asked my dad ' who was he looking at' I suggested to dad to ignore him and the guy just laughed,

I've never forgotten that and totally lost respect for BM after that, how the mighty fall  probably to many KFC's and the wrong company.

Doesnt surprise me at all that the absolute **** of a way Ben Marshall came across as. Remember at Barnsley away him giving the V to the fans after dordling over to take a corner when we were 2-0 down to a relegation side. 😂

you lost respect for him because of something his mate did?

That away day was horrendous. I’ve never forgiven Harry Kane for talking to their reserve keeper at half time lol

😂 I dont remember the Kane bit but i remember it being one of the worse performances ive ever seen, fans fighting between themselves and a group of lads sitting behind me singing Martin O Neils name after we went 2 0 down.

😂 trust me I don’t want attention, I don’t really want to talk about Pearson, I get dragged in from my dislike for the arrogant **** and I don’t hide my dislike,  in truth I’ve not really been on this forum as much as I used to as it’s become very boring, so much so I received an email saying contribute to foxes talk, come back on a hot topic is filled with meaningless puns about fish related stupid crap or whatever it was.

Then constant Pearson threads, some need to get over him, he’s had so many bites of the cherry, we are so far beyond Pearson 😂

Time to log out again, until the forum can actually talk about football related stuff, or relevant to the club now🥱🥱

On a serious note I actually think some on here are bigger supporters of Pearson than the club, it’s like watching the Democratic Party in America realising trump won 😂

Bye all 👋

can relate

The people who feel affection for someone who played a huge part in our success, or the weirdo who's never met him but is certain he's a bully?

Mills? Ugh, the game that springs to mind is the home defeat at Reading, mere weeks after we splashed out millions for him.

He had a shocker. Cue the Reading taunts of "What a waste of money!". Quite right Royals, quite right. Glad Pearson came and kicked his overpriced ass to the kerb. Hail King Nigel.

****ing hell Ben Marshall's 29 years old and playing in the 12th tier lol

What the hell. I knew he wasn't great for us but that's a mad drop off.

So MM confirms exactly what I heard at the time.

The other piece of the jigsaw I heard though was that MM wasn’t doing what was asked of him in training and was clearly  trying to undermine NP.

So NP decided to win the power battle and put MM in his place. There was a number of potential problem players, so taking out the leader like he did made the others realise NP wouldn’t tolerate any power struggle with certain players.

Probably not the most ethical way of going around the situation, but with NP it was all about a strong group and any splits or factions weren’t ever tolerated.

I love Pearson, he my eyes as near to football management god you can get!

but he wasn’t always perfect, and if this is true, as you say not the best way to manage a player. Or ethical.

some of the post on here all relating to mills being shit, not worth the 5 million et cetera...

though may well be true, it’s not actually discussing Pearson’s (alleged) behaviour.

very much turning a blind eye to a situation because the outcome for us was positive in the end. Doesn’t make the behaviour acceptable though.*

* If what Mills is saying is true.

To be fair there's been a number of rumours that he's stuck one on players, which if true isn't really acceptable. He's old school and did so much for this club, that doesn't mean we all have to bow down to his every action.

He had the best chant for any player at the time. He was utter dogshit, so it wasn’t really warranted.

From a journalist perspective, I've never thought he was anything close to an egotistical bully. Didn't suffer fools, or reporters with agendas, but was usually dead straight with you.

You'd struggle to find many decent footballers who thought he was an egotistical bully. They might disagree with his team selections but wouldn't call him a bully, egotistical or otherwise.

Obviously Monsell sees all the bad in Pearson and none of the good so perhaps we should just move on from it.

That’s the thing though. One is seeing the bad in a man he’s never met. The other (you) doesn’t see it despite having had numerous encounters with him in-person.

For every one player Pearson dispensed of who speaks badly of him, you’ll find five players or journalists who know him and speak very positively of him.

Also never understood how any Leicester fan could not adore Pearson. I guess it’s those who would chose to believe a caricature rather than judging based on testimony of those who know him and achievements.

He isnt a bully just someone who doesnt like trouble makers with an ego to satisfy.

I'd definitely say there's more to this than Mills is letting on. I'd love to hear Nigels version of events.
