Not an original one but Steve Walsh was my first favourite player. I used to love the days before squad numbers, waiting to see if he was wearing number 5 or number 9  what a hero he was as well.

 

My first memory was losing the playoff final against Swindon, but I don't have any real visual memories of it, just that it happened at the time, then it was signing David Speedie which seemed exciting at the time. My first proper visual memory of City was the Derby playoff final victory the following year, hence Walsh being my first favourite player.

First fave player was probably actually Robbie Savage which is strange has i hate him now, just funny really.

First game was Bristol City fa cup from 2001 first and only visit to Filbert Street, I remember being a very upset 6 year old not being able to get my dad to by me a foxes top. Had to wait five years to get my first foxes top!

Remember seeing Berner for the first time at Swindon away, it was so obvious he was a cut above. Played centre mid for a laugh, probably never played there before but he ran the show.

My first memory is my dad dragging me to Bristol Rovers Away. Long car journey, standing on the terrace for 90 minutes with it pissing it down to watch a 0-0.

 

Not entirely sure how I fell in love with this game tbh.

 

Cant really remember my first fav player, probably Joachim.

There had been a documentary on tv all about the Millwall hooligans a year or two earlier, (Think you can find it on you tube now),

The main Millwall lad in the documentary was known as "Harry the Dog".  Cue our fans taunting the small and pathetic Millwall away following that day with chants of "Harry is a poodle".  Oh how we laughed.

As you say, game finished 1-1, walk out the ground, Cue " Harry the Dog" and the small and Pathetic Millwall away following kicking the steel barriers over outside the away end and wading in.  Cue Chaos!

Unbelievably this was the first LCFC match I ever attended!
 

 

I'm a Londoner, but of mixed ethnicity. I used to pester my dad all the time to take me to see a football match, literally any football match but given he's an Indian man and had live through 80's hooligan football, he was adamant that we would NOT be going to see any match, period. Fortunately he had a mate who was a Leicester supporter and knew I was desperate to see a game, so once when we went to see him, he offered to take me to a Leicester game if I fancied, and if my dad was OK with it. Of course I said yes! Cue quite possibly the greatest game of football I have ever seen live until the legendary 5-3 victory over Man United some 20 years later. This game had it all, but it made me fall in love with Leicester City! Arsenal had Dennis Bergkamp who was on fire - his touch and class was undeniable. But the Leicester players fed of the crowd and despite going 2-0 down never gave up... and you could see it was pushing the players on. The comeback they made - twice was spectacular, especially given that Bergkamp scored an absolutely insane goal to put Arsenal 3-2 up again with injury time left only. But somehow those fabulous Foxes did it, and I couldn't stop jumping for joy! I was a convert ever since!

 

I feel so privileged to have seen this game, and to see MON's team in general. What I loved about that team more than anything was that it showed you that a team was more than the sum of it's parts, and that fighting for one another and putting in a shift could get results. Most of us are not born with a god given talent, but this team was super motivational because they showed you can be successful if you apply yourself the right way. I think it was fitting that the team that surpassed MON's team were cut from the same cloth... a team with a non-league striker, a diminutive Algerian street footballer, a french CDM that was 5 foot 4 and a host of cast-off's unwanted by other clubs... yet they were were more than the sum of their parts and somehow did the unthinkable.

 

For me Leicester City are a truly unbelievable club. Many people support the "bigger" clubs because they need that element of success in their lives. They need to feel the emotional boost that seeing their team winning gives them, which is why they gravitate to the clubs that traditionally win the big trophies. But Leicester are the equivalent of that hard working kid that grafted and grinded their way to the top through relentlessness. For me they are a role model not just for football, but for life in general! I am not lying when I say they have given me hope in times of despair and picked me when I have been down many a time.

 

It was super sad seeing what happened to the club post Peter Taylor and I guess many of us thought that the magic had gone forever. But we are so lucky we got the best owners in the world and we are back on this journey, again sticking two middle fingers up at the big boys and getting success despite the odds being stacked against us!

 

On this forum we complain a lot. And sometimes for good reason - we absolutely bottled the chance of a lifetime to reach the Champions League again. But look at what this club has done, and what we have experienced... we have memories that are better than even some of the big clubs. Liverpool might have won the title in dominant fashion, but they sure as hell didn't pull off a 5000-1 victory. We have a young team, play good stuff and are building again for the future. The club is going places!

 

PS: If you haven't see the match above, grab some popcorn and watch it! It's one of the best games in our history of being in the Premier League and perhaps for any youngsters on the forum (if there are any!), you'll be able to relate to why we love players like Walsh, Heskey, Lennon, and of course the gaffer Martin O'Neil himself!

first game I attended was v Notts County in the Zenith Data systems cup.  My Mum supported Man Utd, My Dad Notts county, my brother is a Forest fan (I know, how did I end up alright?!)... I didn't particularly follow any of them.  My Dad took me to watch Notts county and for certain reasons at the time, I think I'd have supported anyone contrary to my Dad's wishes!!  SO, I went to my first live game and picked the team that were against his team .  I've been a Leicester fan ever since

 

Favorite First player - that day it was Paul Kitson, seem to remember him having a blinder... after that it was Julian Joachim... he was the one coming through at the time that people were excited about.

First memory of Leicester: I remember them beating Manure 5-3 but I wasn't a fan then. 1-1 against Manure in the title winning season was when I first watched a match.

Not my first game, but my first memory is my dad taking me to Sunderland away in the late 90s. Car journey, ground and being near their fans (which was obviously their old away end behind the goal when they were next to away fans).

 

First favourite player was Izzet or Dickov. I claim both because they were both in the same lineup and I liked them equally. Izzet was just class; Dickov scored all the goals.

First memory- first game i went to, midweek against Middlesborough in 98, lost 1-0, Gazza scored, was sat in the kop as a kid

Fave players were Steve Thompson and Steve Walsh. Later on I absolutely loved Garry Parker.

First game was away at Portsmouth in the early 90s, but first home game was at home to Bristol Rovers in 92(?). We lost I know that.

 

Fav players in the Brian Little era - Joachim and Steve Thompson. Then Scott Taylor and Muzzy in the O’Neill era.
