Annoyingly accurate. The comment on International experience being favoured is a bitter pill for anyone trying to push their way in knowing even an injury crisis had old favourites put in ahead of them.

Unbelievable that England feel the need to pick Lingard, what does last night game tell Southgate about Lingard that he doesn't already know after managing him for 20 odd caps.

 

Foden gets 45 mins, by 20 (21 in May) he has played 232 minutes of football for England, we should be building the side around him.

 

Southgate also feels the need to play to Ward-Prowse and Phillips.

We really need to be establishing players like Foden, Trent, Mount, Rashford, Sancho etc into our core squad. 

 

I understand the calls for JWP, he's been exceptional for Southampton and deservers the opportunity.

Lingard will go to the Euros ahead of Madison and Barnes if they're fit. 

 

If fairness he's playing well and is already pay of the England club which can be hard to get into.

Even more bonkers is that Rachid Ghezzal assisted for one Slimani's goals, and then bagged himself! The Besiktas manager must be getting twitchy as Ghezzal might end up attracting another mug, I mean club, to take him on.

If Barnes and Maddison are given a break this summer, obviously it's a shame for them but it's a great boon for us, the fewer players we have tiring themselves out on international duty this summer the better. This season's crazy schedule compounding injuries isn't likely to let up much next season, with the season starting on August 14 - the more rest and training we can give as many of our players as possible during the summer, the better. They're young and will have other chances.

I am getting very worried watching Nigeria.  Benin are taking no prisoners.  Kelechi just got taken out😱. The pitch is a shocker. I take it lawnmowers are scarce in that part of the World.
