Tim Vickery on Sky Sports has just said we have been in contact with the player and his representatives, not yet directly with Flamengo. Said would be around €30m.

Wasnt particularly glowing of him ! Unsure of his best position, not an out and out striker or winger. Played best in front 2 as a roaming striker. Said both Benfica and Inter were disappointed with his attitude, bit of a sulker. Has talent but a bit of an idiot was his assessment !

Sounds great! Well in Congers!

We are normally pretty good on doing homework about a players character & attitude. If thats the case then I csnt see us being in for him.

Sounds a bit like Mario Balotelli - and we all remember how that worked out for Bren at Liverpool. Gerrimin! :chant::S

Brendan is famous for blowing hot air up his players and really pampering those that need it. He is exactly what we need, a creative “wide striker”, he would be able to play up top in a standard partnership with Vardy; Vardy as the focal point and Gabigol being given the free licence roaming role around him in a 3-5-2 or playing as the “wide striker” that Brendan loves and bought Perez originally to do in our 4-1-4-1 operating in the half spaces from the right.

Personally think this one has legs.

Yes it is true that he HAD a bad attitude, but no one can deny he has matured. If its like 16 million ish it would be ok not 30 though

He would certainly bring some flair and character to this team but there's a good chance he would be an appalling fit for this team. His attributes seem to fit, he's a forward who likes to play wode right and roam anywhere he fcukin likes but I fear his temperamental attitude would see him suffer the same fate that Slimani has. He didn't fair well in Europe already and back home where he can rule the roost it's easy for him.

That said, he's Brazilian with a hammer of a left foot and a little beard. GERRIMIN

It’s a huge gamble. He’d have to be made to feel like the main man here I suspect, and I don’t see how that can happen with Vardy still around.

But saying that, I’d back Rodgers to work with that type of personality, and if it comes off it could be an amazing signing. The lad undoubtedly has talent.

to me sometimes youve ought to take a risk. if we can get him for less than 30 million, maybe around 20 with installments, why not? every team needs a crazy player

Egomaniacs gravitate to other egomaniacs... It's why as others have pointed out BR did well with Suarez and Mario.

It's also why him and Kasper get on...
