I like Dan and agree he’s put in a performance and a half today, in a position he seems to excel in (CB national team etc) when we continued to play him at RB. Just playing devil's advocate, could he be a player that could be loaned to St Ettiene to mitigate the Fofana deal?
Popular Post Ted Maul Posted 27 September 2020 Popular Post Posted 27 September 2020 Solves a big problem- more than happy with Amartey as back up CB. Player of the tournament at AFCON playing there wasn't he? 10

January 2022, although if Covid is still a massive issue in Cameroon by that time it could be moved again, it has already been moved 3 times because of it Edited 27 September 2020 by moore_94

Steve Earle Posted 27 September 2020 Posted 27 September 2020 Brill from him today. But we still need a top class CB. Maybe Dan could be our 4th choice CB? That’s a big wedge saved! 3
Popular Post dannythefox Posted 27 September 2020 Popular Post Posted 27 September 2020 Always liked this kid he’s never done anything wrong in my opinion. Like a new player for us who will just be happy being involved again 👌🏻 Great game today. 5
TJB-fox Posted 27 September 2020 Posted 27 September 2020 Please keep him at centre back. For me off the ball he’s always been sound but on the ball is where I have my doubts. Keeping him centre half negates those issues. His body positioning is so much better when receiving the ball when central. When he gets the ball out on the right wing it’s so unnatural and panicky. Have to say i’m not his biggest fan but enjoyed watching him today and he really grew into the game as it went on. Guess he’s a proper confidence player isn’t he, today would’ve felt good. Fair play. 1
SpacedX Posted 27 September 2020 Posted 27 September 2020 Commented last week that I really felt for him when Ndidi was given the job of makeshift Centreback whilst Amartey has played in that position for his country.
Guest Col city fan Posted 27 September 2020 Posted 27 September 2020 If we are gonna sell, today’s performance has done that no harm whatsoever.
MGLCFC Posted 27 September 2020 Posted 27 September 2020 Brilliant today - but this is the standard he will need to replicate on a consistent basis. Certainly worth a place in the squad, but a centre half signing is still a priority. If Dan hi happy as 4th choice, then there probably aren't many better 4th choices in the league. He also is a versatile player and can play in several position, which is useful to have from the bench. 4
Ian Nacho Posted 27 September 2020 Posted 27 September 2020 He’s hardly going to be the answer to all our prayers but an excellent to have a player who can competently play at right back, centre back and holding midfield. 2
Vardinio'sCat Posted 27 September 2020 Posted 27 September 2020 This is not the first time he has done well for us, if we lose him it'll be sad.
NasPb Posted 28 September 2020 Posted 28 September 2020 Keep. Good rotation player. Always trusted the lad. Remember we have multiple competitions this year
nathan lavery Posted 28 September 2020 Posted 28 September 2020 He played all but 1 game at CB in a back 4 at the AFCON 2017 and was a stand out - Official Team of the tournament. @25 is still relatively young especially for a CB so I wouldn’t write him off just yet On a separate note Fofana looks like a genuine world class talent and it would be a shame if we missed out on the opportunity to sign him. 1
Aus Fox Posted 28 September 2020 Posted 28 September 2020 Close thread! He’s going nowhere and he proved today he could easily be 3rd or 4th choice CB. Problem solved - move on.
WigstonWanderer Posted 28 September 2020 Posted 28 September 2020 Pleased to see him being appreciated after a terrible injury on a terrible night 1
dayday Posted 28 September 2020 Posted 28 September 2020 I always liked him but thought he was a confidence player, this would of done him a world of good.
