Injuries at the club.

As others have said we are not the only ones suffering with injuries . I put it down to the stop start season then cramming games in at the end of the season . Shorter  than normal  rest before the season starts then back in for preseason then a load more games and add in the stupid internationals . The guys are professional athletes  but surely it’s can’t be a coincidence with all the games being so crammed in and short periods off .

Exactly.

Current first choice is Castagne - Evans - Soyuncu - Ricardo

Obviously Fofana is ace, but I still think that'd be Rodgers first choice at the moment

Also without the protection of the best defensive midfielder in the Premier League.

Saw someone post a 1-1-5-4 formation after the Arsenal game for a laugh, with Fofana playing as a lone defender. Tbqh, we should probably get that guy in touch with Brendan to expand on that idea because we aren't too far away from needing it lol

On a serious note, Castagne being out as well is a real ball ache. Both he and Ricardo are key to our system and attacking play, as well as being excellent defenders. Whether we go back 4 or back 5, them both being out is a massive headache. I shall miss shouting 'Go on Timmy' at my TV every 5 minutes too when he marauds forwards.

agree to disagree. Evans or Soyunchu haven't played as well as he has for a while.

Yeah I'm only speculating on what I think Rodger's first choice would be with everyone fit - not what I think should be the first choice.

Plus, I think this season, with the schedule and injuries there's not really such a thing as 'first choice' anyhow. Everyone will be rotating.

I blame the lack of cryotherapy chamber and other prevention measures

It’s going to happen to everyone this season, especially those in European competitions, so i’m not going to read too much into it. I still think that the insistence of international competitions going ahead is bordering on negligence, though. Crazy decision.

Agreed I've said this all along. Given the circumstances, all internationals should be cancelled indefinitely. The players need to make a stand as they need protecting and its just ridiculous. They should still have a break for a week to allow everyone to recover but just not play the internationals. Its mad if everyone was fit, we could have up to 20 of our 25 man squad go away on international duty.

Why don’t we use the cryotherapy chamber anymore?

Disappointed that we’ve lost Dave Rennie too, purely based on how he kept a thin league winning squad injury free for a full season.

Based on the above and the injuries we’ve been picking up we’ve made changes that have had a negative impact.

Be fcukin cheaper to buy them all a chamber to have at home than the potential revenue lost for every league position we drop down due to this farcical injury list. Did I read somewhere they are £100k each? £2.5m then to kit the squad out which equates to about 1 league placing position and then just sell them all when they are no longer needed. Sorted.

Am I imagining this but didn't I read that Vardy has one?

Well hopefully Ricardo should be available as a sub against Liverpool in 3 weeks time then, some slight positive news.

I do wonder if Amartey will ever get past his injuries, it must have been about 2 years now since we saw him fit and at his best? He was good in the couple of appearances his made at the start of the season though tbf.

I'm sure it's not like argos I imagine there is long waits and they require a specialist with skill to fit them and maybe even some electrical work. Also I would imagine there is a lot of rich footballers and teams in the market for them currently.
