Either the football Gods are making up for the injury free 2015/16 or Rodgers methods continue to push the players too hard. Didn’t he have issues at Liverpool? Some posters have suggested he did.

For me, it unfortunately comes as part of your style of play. Rogers and alot of other coaches play to have a really aggressive high press. This puts huge pressure on fitness levels of players and brings any niggle to the fore, when they don't get adequate recover or rest.

Klopp almost crippled Liverpool when he joined and implemented this style.

The styles are chalk and cheese though.

Hahah the best part is that they obviously genuinely believe that.

I'm not a medical man, but I predicted that Rodgers would overuse Evans to the point of injury that would effectively end his career at the highest level.

The sports science staff can only make suggestions, when the manager puts himself over his own players welfare then there's not much that can be done.

Problem of course is that Evans was the only fit, truly "senior" CB, so somewhat irreplaceable. Last season we had Morgan, but he was broken. I think much of this is perfect storm stuff -- with COVID and the fixture congestion/short summer breaks was always going to affect us more than other teams, since 1) we weren't Top 6 rich with insane squad depth, including several U21s who are PL ready, and 2) we have been in Europe for the past two years and needed that Top 6 depth more than the other "Other 14."

Our squad problems are magnified by the fact we only really have one first-teamer under 21. I doubt this problem is going to really start to abate until after the 23-24 season, since even that season is going to be affected by the Winter World Cup.

When Rodgers first got here, he spoke of having a smaller squad of 22-23 players, so everyone saw a path to the starting line-up...but that is obviously too small a squad if you have European commitments, and probably too small a squad if you are going to challenge for cups. Of course, he said this before we were in Europe, so it might not be his governing philosophy. But I think the review is right, our main problem over the past two years has been players playing too much.

Yeah Muzzy Larsson said there were similar issues at Celtic too. Rodgers could turn around what has frankly been a horrid season. But if we burn through players and careers the FA Cup win and Rodger's legacy will be tainted. There's has to be someone in the club looking critically at Rodgers' history and our training.

Lol, any manager experiencing over 10 injuries once in their career is pretty rare I imagine, Rodgers breathes a huge sigh of relief if its only 10. His record at his last 3 clubs is disgraceful.

At what point does it become a huge question mark over his suitability for this clubs long term future?

So where are we with return dates?

Vardy - 6 weeks

Evans - 6 weeks

Ricardo - 8 weeks

Castagne - 8 weeks

Fofana - 8 weeks (potentially)

That’d leave us with around 8 league games with a full squad. That’s if no one gets injured again which would take a minor miracle at this point.

How does it relate to injuries, an analysis returning? Says he's still with the FA after leaving us on this twitter page at least https://twitter.com/peter_clark23

Yeah I spotted that. The Sports Science/Conditioning guys are still the same. A lot of upheaval on doctor/physio side though
