Best player today by a mile. Kept Salah from having too many opportunities. Only him and Mavididi can walk away with heads held high from this one.

 

LT actually has been decent of late, keeping Kristiansen out of the side with ease. And not one to be hypocritical, I'd practically written him off at a Premier League level and he is proving me wrong recently.

He looks like he's getting his confidence back a bit after a couple of difficult years. I'd like to see him become a mainstay for us in the Championship. Should be more than good enough in the second tier.

Guys just an opinion but salah had him on toast.  Salah should have scored 3 in the first half,  Luke does not lack effort but certainly lacks quality and positional awareness imo

100% our man of the match, maybe of the game too. Kept us in it with so many blocks, seemed to be everywhere, man marked Salah out of large parts of the game.

 

Suspect our Danish alliance experiment will go the way of our Belgian one. Luke looks far better playing for us than he did at Sheffield United or Middlesbrough last season, give him a go next season. Find a buyer for Kristiansen.

I’m sure I must be one of the only ones to have never written him off as I have felt his development was shafted by being around a failing side and a failing manager in Rodger’s, before a terrible choice of loan to Sheffield Utd and us not playing with a natural left back last season.

 

I just want to see how he could do, in the Championship, with Mavididi in front of him, having a consistent place in the side and a decent manager.

 

If he was poor then, fair enough.

Yep, JJ has stunk out the club with his lack of defensive abilities and unwillingness to be progressive, so he offers nothing and is somehow getting worse. 

 

Thomas played well as he had to stay switched on against one of the best in the world, he certainly didn’t embarrass himself.  Hopefully he can apply that work ethic and ability next season against lesser opposition and add quick progressive play and support for Mavadidi.

I agree 100% with this.  I think he lost confidence under Rodgers and it's taken a while for him to get it back.  I hope he progresses even further from his recent solid performances.

Will need to add something to the attacking side of his game if he wants to start next season. Done well enough when called upon this season though.

He played very well yesterday against probably the toughest player you can be up against. Why can’t you acknowledge that? I sit in front of a fan who constantly berates players, last year it was KDH. His main comment yesterday? Oh my God, if Luke Thomas is our best player, how crap must we be?. Couldn’t bring himself to accept that he played well.
