Why can't we break teams down and create chances?

We've got the players, but we don't get in behind anyone who defends as a team against us.

So static in the final third. No movement, no give and go, no runs.

Why?

It was exactly the same against Wolves.

We were better once we brought on under who finally is a proper winger after all the wait from when mahrez left, and a second striker helped as well.

Its static as our slow paced passing round the back is easy to defend against.

Spot on. Liverpool or Man City would have scored 6 or 7 against those as they would be attacking non stop, not poncing about with aimless passing

Our movement is shocking also. I pointed it out when the camera panned out but none of the front 3 (Barnes/Vardy/Under) weren't even making runs.

To score, you have to break lines. Either by carrying the ball or passing and moving. We're unable to do that at the moment. I don't think this team can accommodate both Tielemans and Maddison from what we've seen recently.

I make a point of it to my step-son all the time.

Look at Man City around the opponents box. Always looking for the ball, always making runs.

Pinging balls about slickly and quickly.

We just can't for some reason.

That's the difference between a team that finishes top 6 and one that doesn't.

If we got caught on the break, but peppered the opposition goal, I could take that. But being so flat and predictable is so disappointing.

2-0, 2-1 down and we’re pissing about sideways and backwards along the back.

If I wanted to see that I’d have gone and watched the Tigers years ago.

Other than us overthinking every attack and being too slow.. Tielemans is playing too deep, why does he sit back against teams waiting to hit us on the counter? He is so far behind the play. We cant count on Maddison, who is a main reason we are slow, needs 3 touches and I cant remember the last chance he created with a forward ball.

Also our movement is shite. Vardy often is guilty of thinking it is 2015 and the ball over the top is the only thing we do.

We've got too many players who want to keep possession and pass it 100 times before we shoot. We need more players like Vardy, Barnes and Under who want to drive and be positive at all times. Obviously there is a balance but we overpass and overplay too often.

Lack of movement.

3 attacking players on the pitch first half.

Missing our two full backs, most of our attacking play went through the full backs last season. Justin and Thomas are no Ricardo and Castagne.

Manager who seemingly waves the white flag before games by setting up so ridiculously defensive against teams, whether they are top or bottom of the table.

Fatigue from so many games with so many players out injured. We are having to rotate in players who would normally not even be close to the team.

We don't shoot enough. We play it around endlessly looking for gaps that don't appear. Our best chance before the goal came from somebody whacking it and a rebound. How many rebounds do we score from?

Same as last season. In our good spell we outscored XG and Vardy was converting at a crazy rate. After the covid restart the stats normalised and we finished 5th.

Same thing this season....the Penalties have dried up that's all.

They play so narrow, Fulham swamped centre of midfield with players yet we for some reason persist on trying to play through instead of playing it out wide and having overlaps.

This leads to the plan B thread, when you realise you're left wide with the option to cross to Vardy.

We miss someone who can carry the ball in games like this, especially in midfield. Fofana is only one who tries to run through a few players but this has meant his defensive work has become a bit chaotic. Hopefully Ndidi can do that a bit more, it just springs a bit more urgency into our attacks. Occasionally we can slide the ball through to Maddison and it works but tonight it kept getting cut out.

We know Barnes can sprint past players, and Under can take people on but you know he's going to come inside.

To much you to me, me to you, back to you, and back to you again going on at the back, Evens holds up the ball to much Taylor & Justin run 5 yards and then turn and pass backwards by the time we decided to do something we have 11 players in front of us. When we do get forward down the wings not enough crosses are being put into the box. When they are no one is making a run to get on the end of it. Maddison taking to many free kicks and corners that are wasted. And finally we have had 3 weeks of storylines about when out injured players will be back and still not even on the bench.

Your the Manager Rodgers sort it out.

We didn't really have one player in the starting XI tonight who is good at running at, committing and dribbling past their opponent. Without that, you're simply not going to create many chances at this level.

We haven't been very creative all season. We've been largely lucky with penalties. Probably the biggest beneficiaries of the absolute idiots in charge so far actually.

Under was making frequent runs, he was just being continually ignored.
