weller54 Posted 13 December 2020 Share Posted 13 December 2020 Massive game. with Liverpool playing Spurs, (nailed on draw).. we will go top with a win. Castagne and Soyuncu on the bench for this one. Barnes and Under to start?

NaijaFox Posted 13 December 2020 Share Posted 13 December 2020 We will miss Evans. His mind is as valuable (if not moreso) as his legs.

StanSP Posted 13 December 2020 Share Posted 13 December 2020 Wonder if he'll try Ndidi at the back and put Mendy back in DM. Kasper Justin - Fofana - Ndidi* - Fuchs Mendy - Tielemans Maddison Under - Vardy - Barnes I do wonder if he purposely played Albrighton today knowing Everton would be a tougher game which he might not do as well in, and use other players who are fresher for it on Wednesday? If Morgan plays then he'll go as CB with Little Wes and play Ndidi as DM. Wonder if James will be back for them. Might need to see a Kamark-on-Juninho-esque job on him from Mendy/Ndidi if he does play.

Kuredufox Posted 13 December 2020 Share Posted 13 December 2020 I'd have thought N'didi.
jaqo88 Posted 13 December 2020 Share Posted 13 December 2020 Wouldn't be surprised if we went 5 at the back purely to cover for the injured players really, could go either Ndidi/Fofana/Justin or Justin/Fofana/Fuchs as the centre halves depending on what he feels like. If we started with the latter we could then switch it to a 4 as the game progresses and go for the kill
urban fox Posted 13 December 2020 Share Posted 13 December 2020 Can see Ndidi playing CB as part of a three with Fofanaan Fuchs. JJ and Thomas WB. would prefer a four though kasper JJ Ndidi Fofana Fuchs/Thomas Mendy Yt Under Madders Barnes Vardy
Devonfox1884 Posted 13 December 2020 Share Posted 13 December 2020 Shame that Evans is out, but an enforced rest might not be the worst thing in the world with a busy schedule coming up.
Blanchflower78 Posted 13 December 2020 Share Posted 13 December 2020 Ndidi you would imagine but him and Fofana hardly an experienced CB partnering! Oh well... Everton on their day are a very good side, we'll need to be at tonight's levels and hopefully see us play on the front foot. Difficult games to follow against Spurs and United after. I agree, I thought so at the time. We're definitely going to miss him but the day off won't do him any harm.
shailen Posted 13 December 2020 Share Posted 13 December 2020 Definitely N'didi at CB and Mendy in midfield with Tielemans and Maddison. Hopefully Barnes and Under out wide for this one. They'll be on a high after their win against Chelsea but they're not anything special and if we play like we did today we'll beat them.
Ric Flair Posted 13 December 2020 Share Posted 13 December 2020 I suspect it'll be Fuchs Fofana Justin as a back 3 with Thomas and Albrighton as wing backs. 3

Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 13 December 2020 Popular Post Share Posted 13 December 2020 Fuchs has walked a tight rope these last 2 games, with Evans out he really needs to stop those sliding tackles that he's very nearly taken the opposition out in the last 2 games and got a red. He's played more this season than the last 2 put together it feels and he needs to be managed delicately.
Popular Post StriderHiryu Posted 14 December 2020 Popular Post Share Posted 14 December 2020 Evans getting suspended throws a spanner in the works, otherwise I am almost certain we would play 4141 with Under, Barnes and Praet all coming into the team in place of Perez, Maddison and Albrighton. Now I imagine that Ndidi plays centre back, because Calvert-Lewin is fantastic in the air, and that means Mendy has to come into midfield. And if we are doing that, then there's an argument to go 3412. But for me, I think I would go for: Kasper Justin Ndidi Fofana Thomas Mendy Under Praet Tielemans Barnes Vardy Only thing I would say is that Richarlison is their most dangerous player with James injured, so maybe he will play Praet right wing with Maddison inside and bring Under off the bench. That said JJ did a brilliant job on Adama Traore when he came off the bench for Wolves, so it might not be needed, and Under deserves to be getting games to start because he's oozing quality. Regardless of what we do, I am excited for the game. Rodgers changing the formation during the game to change it up today makes me happy he won't be too stubborn if it's not working.
Foxxed Posted 14 December 2020 Share Posted 14 December 2020 Don’t fancy playing Ndidi out of position after coming back from injury. Back five probs.
Popular Post kingfox Posted 14 December 2020 Popular Post Share Posted 14 December 2020 This is the type of game I wouldn’t mind Big Wes playing tbh, up against Calvert-Lewin it will be all about a physical battle and winning headers. If we were playing against a side with a pacy front line, I definitely wouldn’t put him in. Against Everton though, height will be important, especially at set pieces, where playing the trio of Little Wes, Big Wes and Ndidi could prove vital to whether we win or lose.
