Watched some highlights from the 08/09 season the other day and was genuinely shocked to see Marc Edworthy play for us. Went to lots of games that season and I'd completely erased any memory of him in a Leicester shirt

Always thought Wilson might make it. Never did. Was he around the same time as Stuart Campbell, who ended up having an OK career?

Yes, scored a goal away at Blackburn in a 4-2 win last game 97/98. Campbell became a bit more involved a season later.

I thought the same when I heard his name. Well, I sort of remembered he played for us but had to google to make sure.

Always liked Wilson, scored 3 or 4 Premier League goals for us and thought he was gonna kick on but O'Neill obviously didn't see it that way. Inclined to trust him to be honest 😀

How can you remember players you have forgotten, be better to have the biggest t**t that you remember for being a big t**t. Denise Wise springs to mind, straight away. No hesitation. Remembered him.

That's a really good call. I genuinely have no recollection of him playing for us. Even looking at that photo, I'm still not sure it happened.

For some reason Olly only could get on a month loan deal... soon after he returned to the Sheffield United where he was having an awful time under Kevin Blackwell he went on loan till the end of the season with Blackpool.

I remember it. Despite not being properly 'fit' he looked an absolute cut above for us.

We went through phase in the 2000s when we used to sign about 60 players a season (and release a similar number). There's a lot of churn from that era that I struggle to remember.

He was with us til the end of the season but got injured away to Barnsley and missed the rest of the season. 

Blackpool was the next season.

Martin Keown had a season spell with us after leaving Arsenal. According to Micky Adams he spent alot of time moaning and kept going on about "what they used to do at Arsenal"

God, remembering the Dublin-Keown-Dabizas back line with the combined age of 187. 

 

Micky Adams did some very good work in challenging times but my word he filled the squad with ageing, past-it dross.
