LCFC vs Slavia Prague (2nd Leg) - Match Thread - 25/02/2021

This is just embarrassing and perplexing. Do these guys not want to win? We've been so so so lethargic and Rodgers has really set us up to lose here.

Albrighton, Choudhary, Under are only championship players. Amartey at full back is senior league level (not too bad at centre back). Thomas still a boy.

No wonder we are losing.

Very interesting that Rodgers has never took a team beyond the last 32 in Europe. Then again if he has selected teams such as this on a regular basis then it's understandable

I'm sorry but all those saying its on Brendan is harsh in my opinion. The team he has picked on paper is more than good enough to win this game. The players haven't turned up. Shame on them. On the fringes and haven't shown the desire to win a place

I dont think it's his selection that people are frustrated about, I think its the fact that he made no changes until the inevitable happened and we have a mountain to climb.

Really ought to have started our best side since it was 0-0. Played so poorly first half, needed changes at half time.

Come on leicester¡!!!!

He’s set them up to be cautious and conservative against Slavia Prague... Clearly his mind is on Arsenal because no one has looked arsed tonight.

should have started like this what was he thinking

I dunno...just possibly he decided that we just couldn't keep playing this amount of matches with an injury ravaged squad that that a priority call had to be made??

He's banked enough cred over the years but Vardys form has been diabolical the last few weeks.. nothing coming off for him at all

First leg. Too negative.

Second leg, 60 mins, too negative.

Should have gone for it from first minute of first leg to try to get an away goal.

We “managed” the tie in the wrong way.

Vardy has squandered everything tonight

How can you blame Vardy there when Ünder played a simple 5 yard pass behind him so he had to turn his back to goal?

It was an atrocious pass.

I honestly don’t know why he thought trying to stay 0-0 until the 60th minute then bringing on game changers, when we’re playing in a competition where away goals rule was a smart idea

This exactly. Win your games then you earn your rest.

Got away with it until half time but not making the changes at half time you just knew that window was gonna cost us.

Looks bad right now but really this is a reflection on our overall squad depth. We simply don't have enough quality to replace so many injured players and those who are coming back from injury with top class replacements.
