Get the attacking players on. Kill the game. Manage the game.

It's not worth risking them scoring a goal when we need two and it's too late. They'll just sit back in their defensive shape as that's what they seem comfortable with.

Vardy needs support. Get Ricardo on for Amartey so that Under has some help going forward as it'll take some defenders away from him.

Barnes on for Choudhury, drop Tielemans deeper and we'll start to see some big improvements.

Then save the remaining 3 subs to manage the game out.

Agree.

Rodgers tried fo “manage” the game when we have not won yet. Now it is risky for us. If they nick a goal, they will park the bus and it is over. We must score first.

No wonder Rodgers has never gotten past round of 32 in any cup competition before. Hope he changes things at HT.

Ricardo for Amartey, Mendy for Choudhury, and Before the game I said Barnes instead of Under, but I’m now 50/50 between taking Under off or Albrighton. Albrighton provides better for Vardy, and is less selfish than Under, but Under is getting into better positions.

We need to take the game to them. Amatory gives us no width, and Choudhury only plays backwards.

They’ve been the better team to be fair and have already wasted two decent chances. Can’t see us getting one, never mind two if they put one of those away.

Can understand not playing Ricardo as he’s going to be vital up against Saka v Arsenal, but we look completely clueless in that final third and need another overlap on the right.

We’re without Nacho, Perez and Praet who could have filled in for Maddison and one, it not two, would have started here if fit. Only way to get Tielemans back into his usual role from what we have on the bench is to maybe try and play Barnes in that number 10 role. Unless you chance one of the kids.

Thoughts? :D

Pretty crap, but it’s clear it’s going to be a cagey tie that’s played over 180 mins. We’re only halfway through. I’d make a small tactical change to get Youri higher up the pitch closer to Vardy, then give it 15-20 mins before looking to Ricardo and Barnes.

True, not with the current lineup anyway.

Only if you've been 'watching' the game on FT.

They look better defensively and they've created better chances = They've been the better team.

Ricardo one side, Barnes the other. Under in the middle, Tielemans back next to Ndidi. Choudhury and Albrighton off I reckon.

This is what I feared it would be. Injuries all over the place, nobody that creative available and up against a limited, but organised and tough to play against side. I think this season's starting to take its toll on us sadly.
