Probably made up but I really hope it is true, screw the lot of them

To be fair Arsenal and Spurs have done a pretty good job in excluding themselves from next seasons Champions League anyway.

Players are going to have to get involved in this, playing for their countries is absolutely massive for a lot of players

This is absolutely mental to see all these clubs posting about it in unison like they’re part of a new world order

I know, they are posting as if they've appointed a new CEO or something.

"We are joining a new League" and that is it. Incredible.

So in that case the teams that may mean qualification for the champions league next season could be ourselves, Everton, Leeds and Villa. With wolves and Palace in the europa league.

One the one hand, it gives Leicester the chance of being a genuine top English club. Imagine a top flight of traditional big city English clubs such as Shef Weds, Forest and Derby without the billionaire clubs dominating.

One the other, it will be a real test of our owners' commitment, as TV interest in the remaining EPL in the Far East will be much reduced.

After a while, success would come to depend more on money through the turnstiles than TV money.

Would this be so bad?

You won’t be able to justify ticket prices of £50+ to watch Leicester vWestBrom in a league that has lost it’s main attractions. It’s often £20+ to watch National league teams. They charge that much because they have too. Will they be able to justify charging that when for a couple of quid more you could watch top flight football? What would be the end result of this?

What a sad end to what was a brilliant day. The end of football has today been signed by a loathsome bunch of *****.

Leading football clubs?

Leading to me means winning their leagues.

Milan last won a trophy in 2016.

Spurs haven't since 2008.

Arsenal have managed a few FA cups. Pathetic

There really does need to be huge protests by the fans of these clubs involved to really get the statement and anger and annoyance across to them.

Ex-players, icons, heroes, legends that played for the clubs and perhaps helped elevate them to where they are now wouldn't have wanted this (surely?!). Their voices will be heard louder than your average Joe that these clubs have all fobbed off. Especially the likes of Neville and Ferdinand today - keep them vocal and get them continuing to talk about it.
