I am not so hot at wording stuff but I could have a go...  I would expect the media to pick it up and so would be more wary of answering their enquiries.   Would you like to try?  Otherwise I will have a go.

I'm too old to get involved plus I suspect it needs someone who can create a public reaction or is already a public figure.

Something I guess, and it should be indicative of the mindset moving forwards.

Probable be vetoed by Perez.

The clubs should refuse to activate the wildcard and instead, uefa can use the wildcard at its discretion for fair play or lucky loser or outstanding contribution or whatever

Done right a wildcard idea would be amazing. Every club in Europe in the pot like the lottery.... Grimsby v Real Madrid lol

Plenty of our governments of other political persuasions have made a right hash of things it's certainly not unique to the Tories..

I dunno. Perhaps not unique, but it seems to stick better. They have much more of a sense of entitlement than the other lot.

Well I'm not ranking them but in my life time there's been plenty painful **** ups by all of them..

As for who is top and who is bottom I suspect that'll depend quite a lot on people's political persuasions.

As @HighPeakFoxsuggested this is not really the forum or thread for this discussion and I rarely enter into the rarefied air of the Political Thread so I guess this is my last word on my view of it.

Also, the Maguire deal is very, very close.

I hope its sheikh Mansour.

Nothing against man city particularly but he's got too much money and they're gonna end up like bayern.

It’ll be Kroenke I reckon? Or the the Liverpool mob. Although hasn’t Roman wanted out at Chelsea for a while?

I’ve really narrowed the field there! 😂

Perez’s comment yesterday about the Chelsea fans’ protest was pretty revealing: “Chelsea fans? They were 40 people outside Stamford Bridge... and if you want, I will tell you who took them there.”

So, according to him, there were only a handful there and they were ‘taken’ there, presumably as part of a plot by sinister forces opposed to his glorious vision. The guy is batshit crazy (I’m talking Mel Gibson levels of crazy). Why on earth did the other ESL clubs allow him to lead them? He’s a walking PR disaster for them...

His interview last night was :jawdrop: He has lost the plot. I hope he has a serious and very humiliating wake-up call.

Replying to my own post!

But a wildcard , say, rewarding ajax for their superb semi final run in 2019 or ostersands for their amazing EL campaign would be totally in the spirit of the game .....but automatically  awarding the slots to any of those 12 who've had a duff season is unacceptable.

Arsenal’s board/chief exec having some Q & A

Some quote along the lines of ‘To protect the Pyramid we need to maximise revenue’.

I’d actually say quite the opposite.

Incredible coincedence that football needs to be saved when certain teams are billions of pounds in debt and losing huge amounts of money. All of a sudden the pyramid is the most important thing in American billionaires minds.

The guy is used to being able to pay off his club's fans to do as he wants. Real Madrid used to have a strong ultras group that resisted the commercialisation of the club. He banned them and gave their section behind the goal to a bunch of scabs who had to follow the rules to get cheap tickets etc. That's why they all wear white behind the goal, he basically paid them off to do so. He's baffled as to why he can't just throw money at a problem to make it go away.

JK is Josh Kroenke, the son

He doesn’t understand - the English fan wants Stoke to still be around playing professional football.

they think that their fans only care about their club (JW Henry made the same mistake in his apology)

the fans over here understand that there is a bigger picture than just their club. Of course they want their club to be successful and playing at the highest level that they can but not at the expense of any level of competition and other clubs .......

These idiots honestly, I get that overseas rights are very lucrative but you are pandering to people who, and let’s be honest here, in the main do not have a ****ing clue about real football.

Trusting what THEY want after 150 years of a pretty successful formula is potentially suicide.
