First half was just weird. Put that down to pressure and don't want to dwell on it too much. Was bad and boring. 

 

Second half was much better. Not exactly brilliant, but we'd cut out the sloppy mistakes and had much urgency. Sound like a teacher, but good application and effort which was lacking against Newcastle. 

 

Final note to Thomas, great goal.

Nothing shady about it, they are playing 3 games in 5 days. We made 9 changes in a similar situation at West Ham last year- players won't play that much football in a short space of time.

 

Players were always going to be rested for one of these games.
