To be fair I'm absolutely elated with an FA Cup this season.  But honestly, if we are to miss out on the Champions League then I'd rather we skip the Europa League as well.

Sure the purists might love the idea of Thursday night games against the likes of Lugano, Krasnodar, Ferencvaros etc but I personally couldn't give a toss.

Travel to them and you will love it.

Make no mistake, these are a very good outfit under Tuchel. I think they challenge for the title next year.

Don't think the penalty was a penalty but they should have had one first half.

Very disappointed but let's wait and see what happens at Burnley. We'll have a shot final day whatever happens.

Individual errors from our young defenders giving away a corner and a penalty.

A squad with brilliant players but a lack  of options.

We have done really well but to compete with the resources of the entitled 6 is tough

I thought Ricky did well when he came on, hopefully getting back to his best.

Yep it’s like having a new player, really pleased for him

Everyone quick!  Crucify Perez, even though Maddison was yet again doing a crossword the whole time he was on

I'm diplomatic, they were both ass. At least James has an acknowledged injury as a contributing factor.

Slightly baffling decisions from

Rodgers.

Would love to know the logic behind starting Perez and shunting Maddison out to the left. He was always going to be ineffective there when we have no possession.

Nacho has to start in his current form.

They really were up for it tonight. But the Referee was poor all game he let them away with too much from the start.

It was also a very soft penalty to give them.

You having a laugh? It was a definite peno, most stupid clumsy idiotic tackle ive ever seen and they were denied a clear one in the first half aswell. We got far more rub of the green off Mike Dean tonight without a shadow of a doubt and we still couldnt use it to our advantage

Disappointing result tonight, but wasn't expecting anything else to be honest, Chelea away, with fans, was always going to be a nightmare, especially after beating them in the cup final.

Yes Chillwell is a little **** who deserves all he gets next season at the KP, yes Rudiger is also a **** and one of the nastiest players on the pitch tonight, but we didn't lose because of that.

Bad tactics, wrong selection, playing 3 days after a cup final win, Youri looking absolutely knackered all game, Perez being shite, Maddison still being injured and dissinterested, Vardy getting no service, Luke thomas being 19. You can point to all of those but in the end we were beaten by the better team on the night.

What worries me now, if we don't get Champions League, is who do we lose in the summer. Youri already delaying contract talks until he knows for sure, Cant see Fofana or Harvey Barnes being here either if we do miss out, plus it also limits us in the transfer market to freshen up the and strengthen the squad.

Meh, I guess being FA cup holders sweetens the pill a little.

TLDR: Perez can **** off and Chillwell's a ****

The concern for me is that you don’t see other top teams in the Prem having so many awful performances. We were totally outplayed, as we have been in so many games this season.

Passes all over the place, bullied off the ball, to slow to release the ball.

Fans will say we won the game that mattered. That’s small Time talk! If we are as good as the media is starting to say we are, we shouldn’t be completely ripped apart so often.

to lose is one thing, getting hammered performance wise is another.

Embarrassing performance all round really.  They were always going to do us tonight but I still expected a hell of a lot more than that.  We weren't even competitive.  Similar performance as against Newcastle.

For me I hope that's the last time we'll see Perez in a City shirt.  Lad needs moving on in a cut-price deal.  He is actually detrimental to us as proved tonight.

Vardy was borderline worse however.  Man-marked their centre backs for 90 mins and didn't even bother to try and get in to the match.  Iheanacho must feel sick as a dog being dropped tonight.

Vardy is almost guaranteed a start against Spurs but I think his days as a starter for us are well and truly over.

Not reacting because he missed the chance but he's just not on the wavelength or level of the others, he is one player who I don't understand what he's trying to do, nothing sticks, move after move breaks down with him, he tries things that are never on, he wins the ball then pirouettes for no reason back into trouble, he's a waste of a shirt, he won't change his football philosophy, he won't learn, he won't improve

Can you manic depressives chill out and stop swallowing the Sky induced bollocks that only CL matters.

Top 5 and winning the FA Cup - fking BRILLIANT season... Stop playing it down or you'll never be happy in your lives.

Its not just as simple as that. Of course winning the fa Cup and and finishing 5th is fantastic for our club. But the champions league gives us more finances to sign top players and also attracts top players/helps us  keep hold of our best players and manager. Finishing 5th is great. Finishing 5th twice in two seasons is great. Finishing 5th twice in 2 seasons when you were 4th for 2 whole seasons except the final day on both seasons is incredibly disappointing. I'm absolutely not taking anything away from our fa Cup win and our season as a whole, especially considering our injuries but it does not stop us from being disappointed if we miss out on champions league.

No over reaction at all

It looks like we’ve blown the CL for the second season running.

Clear as day

I'm not talking bout the result, more some of the comments about the players not trying or putting effort in.

They have play 3 big games in 7 days with largely the same 11, with the game at Wembley a very draining experience.

What is clear as day is we don't have the strengthen in depth of the Man U, Man City , Liverpool or Chelsea which is way we are coming up short a times.

Looked much better after the subs (often the case). Perez doesn't do himself any favours. I'd love to know what Praet has done wrong too.

Just seen the slomo of the Perez miss. Oh my days.
