Coming 2nd in our group, like at the World Cup will be far more beneficial for us for that last 16 game. The problem is, we don't want to be losing that opening game and then risk being knocked out vs The Sweaties. A draw vs Croatia is probably the best result and then beat Scotland and see whether we can shit arse a draw vs Czech's in order to let Croatia topple us.

Even though it’s obviously the optimal solution, as an experience I really hate wanting to finish 2nd in the group. Wenger has never really been a tournament manager. He was at his best when he was ahead of the curve with recruitment, conditioning and training. They’re all hygiene factors in football now so we’d be relying on his tactical ability which was his main weakness over his last 10 years in charge of Arsenal.

I know it’s not a new topic but I see Southgate has had to come out and emphasise the players and his stance on taking the knee. It seems some knuckleheads are still associating it with the BLM Marxist movement. How thick can you be? Wenger's too old now at 71, for me Antonio Conte could be ideal replacement if we fail this summer. Did a good job with Italy, Chelsea and Inter. Not sure if we actually had anyone took the England job whose actually won the premier league. In terms of the old first division Don Revie was the last English manager to won the league and later become England boss and that was back 1970's.
