Evans injured, Perez only started training this week and Barnes obviously isn't yet ready after a long term injury. Albrighton possibly being given a different preseason programme or has a knock.

Soyuncu, Fofana and Evans are presumably first choices for us, with Amartey and Benkovic as backup. The issue comes if one of the 3 are unavailable for an extended period.

The question is whether you're comfortable with Benkovic as the 4th choice, because whoever the 4th choice is they're going to get extended PL minutes at some point. Unless of course you want to see Ndidi back there again. I 1000% get the skepticism with Benko, but I almost feel like you have to roll the dice and keep him around this season. If that guy who was the consensus best CB in the SPL is somehow still inside there, you'd like to see him have his renaissance in a Leicester uniform. 1

Yeah, for me, as long as the medical team say he is not close to death, might as well have Benko as 4th/5th choice rather than spend whatever we have left/bring in on a CB and Chuck it all at attacking reinforcement(s)

He didn't set the world alight against Burton, (nobody did), but he wasn't dire, especially considering he'd barely completed a handful of matches in the last two seasons.
