funkyrobot Posted 3 October 2021 Posted 3 October 2021 Not impressed after a promising start, barely an improvement on Thomas, definitely benched when Justin is fit.
HybridFox Posted 3 October 2021 Posted 3 October 2021 I'd rather see Amartey at LB he's been that poor
Harry96 Posted 3 October 2021 Posted 3 October 2021 He was good back in the day but he’s past it now unfortunately
StriderHiryu Posted 3 October 2021 Posted 3 October 2021 Thomas or Castagne need to start at LB. Bertrand was impressive in preseason but has been poor for several games in a row. Very poor for Olise’s goal.

As long as he wears our shirt, will support him and pray he comes good. But some of us questioned his signing based on his very underwhelming showing at Southampton last season.
Matt_Lcfc Posted 3 October 2021 Posted 3 October 2021 For somebody who is so experienced, his positional sense is woeful. 1
FoxesWalk Posted 3 October 2021 Posted 3 October 2021 Still a better option than Thomas IMO, but still not good enough recently. Justin will take the place back easily I think.

Jakemoore Posted 3 October 2021 Posted 3 October 2021 Both the ex Southampton lads can fuch off back down south as far as I’m concerned. How Bertrand ever won a CL I do not know.

Frankly didn’t expect he would be the default starter at LB. Thought he was going to be an experienced backup.

shiv Posted 3 October 2021 Posted 3 October 2021 Wasn’t great but had no help from Barnes. Youri was moving to the left causing us to be exposed in the middle. Barnes needs to spend more time on the training pitch and less time on the p1ss in Leicester. 1

Sol thewall Bamba Posted 3 October 2021 Posted 3 October 2021 Just play Thomas ffs. At least he might learn lessons. This guy is as good as he'll get and he's still crap. 1 1

That’s the role he’s playing, he’s backup until JJ comes back and is job sharing with Thomas, who has been equally pants let’s be honest.
TrentFox Posted 3 October 2021 Posted 3 October 2021 The early season promise is long gone. Might as well develop an asset like Thomas than give Bertrand game time if that’s the limit of his impact. 3

But he’s just not carried that form into the season proper. We’ve conceded 2 in our last 3 Premier League games and this is the second time we’ve let a two goal lead slip already this season. He’s definitely one of the reasons why.

For somebody who has played top flight football for 7/8 seasons, I am honestly astounded about how much he struggles with the basics.
