Yes I think that’s was I’ve noticed.

 

For forward players you often look for raw talent. For defenders you look for composure. It looks like he’s got bags of it. Very encouraging

Looks an absolutely unreal talent, think he can go to the very top. Massive kudos to the academy and also to Enzo who despite having an unbelievable squad at his disposal has given young players from the academy lots of opportunities, this is a very special manager we have and if we can keep hold of him, I think we will continue to see a number of our academy prospects being given their chance in the first team. Could be massive in finding a way to be competitive and staying very much within FFP compliance.

I know what you're saying here but how depressing is this? I want the lad to be a future club skipper. Football is shite.

Let’s hope he does stay and become club captain but I have a feeling one season at premier league level and the bigger teams will come calling. Unfortunately I think FFP will ensure this happens more and more

The big boys have had Nelson in their sight for a long time. Won’t take long for him to be snapped up if he continues as he is, enjoy it whilst you can.

I’d like Enzo to be brave and get Nelson playing the middle CB role and keep Faes at the RCB position. Nelson is both footed, calm/composed, quick and has the passing range to break the lines.

I think carry on as we are, keep giving Nelson more minutes and bed him in slowly to a winning side.  No cause to rush.

He's a great player and i love watching him but outside of being from the academy he doesnt have a strong connection with the club. To be clear I would like him to stay here to the end of his career as he's an great talent but making him out to be future captain material is a bit far considering he's not a fan of the club like Thomas, Dewsbury Hall, Barnes, Choudhury etc.

Excellent game today. He looks good every time he comes on at the moment.

 

It will be interesting to see what happens to him next season. Does he stay with the first team or go out on loan to the Championship? If Ipswich don't go up, I think a season long loan there would be very good, as he would be first team every week for a team that plays out from the back.

 

He's ahead of Coady now, and rightly so in my opinion. He's faster, better on the ball and more physical. And he's only going to improve! But when we go up he won't play every week, and I think he could do with that to take him up the final level.

 

It looks likely that he will be a mainstay of the defence in his 20's though for sure.
