I have little enthusiasm for this.

I don’t think it matters what team we field, we have so many looking lacklustre and out of form.

I don’t think it make much difference who plays or how we set up.

It is our best way fwd... butbthe tactics need to be right:

We mix it up. Pop a ball over to vardy early doors; barnes is in space so use him as an out ball; stop messing at the back and clear our lines; no distribution by kasper other than onto their half

I'm all for giving the opposition something to think about rather than just dwelling on your own weaknesses and admittedly at Palace, when I saw the line up I thought good!

If only we could try it your way with a bit of ambition there's possibilities.

Approach the game in the right way and start off with a bit of desire and we could beat most sides.

Crowd needs to play their part and could give the side a much needed lift.

Hopefully there's not too many non regulars around us in the stands

Which often happens when we play them

Maybe I'm just a blind optimist, but if Evans is fit enough to play we can get point(s) off these... :scarf:

Kasper

Ricardo

Evans (Vestergaard)

Soyuncu

Castagne

Tielemans

Soumare

Hamza/KDH

Barnes

Lookman*

Vardy

Second-half, if we are chasing the game, would sub-in Iheanacho and Maddison for one of Hamza/KDH or Soumare and one of Barnes or Lookman, respectively. Conversely, if we are defending a lead in the second-half, would sub-in one of KDH/Hamza or Perez/Kevin for one of Barnes or Lookman - unless Vardy is suffering a stinker or is otherwise ineffective (Nacho/Daka).

*Of course, this is obviously all a personal wish-list, because I am reasonably sure that Brendan would likely prefer to start Perez over Lookman, and if that turns out to be the case, it'll be a cogent commentary on his philosophical mindset at the moment.

We'll show them far too much respect and go a goal or 3 behind. Then we'll show up for 20 minutes in the second half and get a consolation goal and then concede another late on. Rinse and repeat

I think we need to take advantage of HM and RV being out by playing 2 up top. The only way I can see this working is a switch to a back 3

Schmeichel

Vestergaard

evans (Amartey)

soyuncu

Ricardo

tielemans

soumare

castagne

Either Maddison, Perez, Lookman, barnes

vardy

Iheanacho

See, I like this, but would have all 3 mids a bt deeper with Youri spraying balls (may/may not find target) up to Vardy and Nacho or wide to Barnes and Lookman.

The battle for midfield will be lost in all likelihood, so try and bypass it as much as possible and go wide or go long.

If Jonny starts on full gas, reckon we have a chance, as they are a bit sh*t too

We just need to go for them right from K/O don’t give them any time on the ball as soon as Fernandez is on the ball and ronaldo we’re screwed lol

Er ........... assume your team selection is a joke

What’s wrong with it?!  Apart from the 2 centre half’s. A lad that runs in cement and another that struggles to play a 5 yard ball in the engine room, it’s not bad 😂

Don’t think I’ve ever been less looking forward to a game. Ugh

We are playing Man United in the Premier League at 3 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon and you're not looking forward to it

I am :bounce:

Rodgers knows he needs to alter the dynamics of the team to a more attacking theme.

He's got the players certainly to do it well, and think he actually will alter things for this mindset; but the defence seems quite suspect at times.
