They need a MOTM performance from there keeper and got battered in a 1-0.

 

Not many will go to Brentford and win easy.

Never thought we would get the win after that first half performance. V important 3 points though and thought we defended well in the last 20 mins when Vestergaard came on.

We were so good for most of last season away from home that we've forgotten how hard it can be to win away from home. You have to battle, you have to hang in there at times and you have to show quality on the counter. We did that. 

 

Brentford were massively overrated by the commentary team, they were decent first half with some high energy and pressing but offered nothing apart from set pieces. 

 

Tielemans quality when it matters, Iheanacho always in the game and there is so much to like about Daka.

First half was nervy, but second I thought it was fairly comfortable, even though they scored from a corner. We played some nice stuff and with some better decision making could have gotten another one on the break.

 

Not the best performance, but Liverpool drew 3-3 with this lot in the same stadium, so that is a very good result. Great to see Maddison score finally, and so unselfish from Daka, who must be thoroughly loved by the team.

 

Also whilst he didn't score, Iheanacho for me was once again really good. He provides real quality and hard work, and gives defenders a torrid time.

 

Finally Brentford deserve a ton of respect! What a very good team they are! I admire their attitude and Norgaard was phenomenal for them, he was absolutely everywhere.

3 points off 4th now after our recent form. Back to back wins in the league for the first time in what seems like forever. 

 

Happily watch that Tielemans strike all day. Reminds me of Barnes vs Sheff Utd but from further out.

We were as poor this week as we were good last but if the players believe they can still win the game despite being off the pace, they won't panic when things aren't going our way. 

 

Saying that, I really don't know how we won that game but I'll take it.

That wasn’t as lucky as people are making out. A decent professional performance - not the best - but Brentford didn’t lay siege at any point or have guilt edge changes. They huffed and puffed, but not much else. Plus we had some decent chances.

Dire first half. It’s the same in every away game so far this season including Cup and Europe. No idea why we’re incapable of starting games

Not particularly good second half but at least we resembled a Premier League football team.

 

Result covers up the same issues that existed at West Ham, Brighton, Palace, Legia etc etc.

An extremely tough game, Brentford’s pressing and work rate is immense, but 3 points is all that matters.

 

That game also proved why Evans is so important for us, solid as a rock today.

It can't be a coincidence that since he's returned we're getting results. He's absolutely vital to this team.

Great win that against a good side. 2nd best by miles for the 1st half but showed some great fighting spirit that has been missing and ground out the win. Still a fair bit off our best but much more promising signs!

Is that how you decide who should win a match prior to kick off, they were championship we were Premiership ergo we should win 😂 

 

There won’t be many teams who get 3pts there not until late in the season when injuries, suspensions and form dips.
