Thats a much bigger win than we probably realise. Brentford are a very good team who will get a lot of results this season, as they have already.

 

To go to their place, and come away with all the points, is great.

 

I actually think, when you take both halves, it was a fair result.

 

We could easily have had a couple more just like they could have had a couple first half.

Never crossed your mind that he has hugely benefited from playing regularly, winning games, being allowed to develop when his career had stalled before joining us.

Support was top notch here today. Very professional performance. All those that keep moaning about playing from the back must be judging things on their own first touch and ability. Hairy at times but pays dividends like today.

I think we should put the formation argument to bed. Three wins in a row in different types of  match,  and the more we play it the better we should get .Jonny in the middle of the defence seems to work well.

Don't think it was shithousey as people make out. And we seemed more inclined to sit back after getting our noses in front with a worldwide...but our second goal was bar far the best chance created in the match by either side.

I know some people felt it was a smash and grab, but how many saves did Kasper have to make? They re very tidy, very busy, but not especially clinical

Frank getting a bit salty in his post match interview. Said crap at one point, not sure if that's allowed on the BBC. He said that Brentford smashed us first half and they would 100% win if the game was played again tomorrow. Sounded very upset.

Did exactly what Chelsea did. Went to Brentford, weathered the storm, came home with 3 points. We were even able to take our main man off at half time and still get the win. No complaints from me.

1st half was pure shithousery. They were all over us and we go to halftime 1-0 up.

 

2nd half much better and they only really threatened from set pieces.

 

That was a hard earned win and great 3 points.

Unfortunately for him, it was today and Kasper didn't have a massive amount to do. Did he mention their defending for the second goal?  I like Brentford but if they defend like that then this great start won't last.

A tenacious side that could have easily if a better quality could have beaten us they have held and beaten some of the top 4 this season a reminder how we used to play and upset the bigger sides a few years back  they miss what we had a Jamie Vardy !

can’t see them be a top five but can see them more than do enough to stay up in this league this season and FairPlay to them a tough tenacious side that will cause problems for a lot of clubs this season ( so long as it’s not us !!)
