Is he likely to make a miraculous recovery and be fit to play or is he just feeling a bit unvaccinated?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 Newcastle to win easily sadly Rodgers out
Raj Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 Attend this game knowing what's going to happen or watch the F1 shoot out on channel 4???

Sol thewall Bamba Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 Easiest team talk of Eddie Howe's life. "Get into them, press them, run harder than them". And it'll work a treat. 4
Pliskin Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 Newcastle will be licking their lips. It’s going to be a horrible afternoon I can feel it already. The crowd will turn in an instant, if things aren’t going well.
filbertway Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 Cor, I thought I was pessimistic The main thing against us is that our players are going to be shattered, we're still comfortably better than these and that has been enough for us to pick up results this season. Not expecting a great performance but expect we will win this.
Farrington fox Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 Hard to for see anything but another defeat. 1-2
Bluetintedspecs Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 I'm always glass half full, things are getting really toxic and concerning though. When I'm not looking forward to going down on Sunday and I'm actually hoping for an Omicron intervention that is sad beyond words. That weird post match presser and previous comments from BR have stunned me, truly sad 😔 1
Harpenden Fox Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 Given the schedule we've had, I feel we have to make as many changes as possible to try and inject energy. Our defensive options are incredibly limited, but if either Amartey or Vestergaard are fit, they should replace Caglar. Luke back for Bertrand, as he's now had a week off. Patson up front instead of Vards. Albrighton to start, again simply because he should have bags of energy. Soumare or Hamza instead of Wilf. Not a lot else we can do given we're not sure how many are out with Covid. Would be darn helpful if JJ and Ricky P were available within the next couple of weeks. Chestnuts could do with a rest for sure. I hope KDH keeps his place. He's hardly played any matches all season, so should be as fresh as anyone, and I like the drive he gives the team. Not to mention his willingness to take a shot. In what's been a pretty miserable few weeks for us, his goal last night was a rare moment of joy. 1
FoxyJim1987 Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 I honestly can forecast this game already. Put money on us going behind coming back, then losing, Wilson to score at some point, massive boos at full time.

We both concede a hatful, if they beat us (highly possible) they will only be a couple of wins behind us in the league. We are in no position to claim we are better than anyone right now. We have better players but nearly all of them are badly out of form or injured. 1

Man for man our players are more talented, though they're not playing to their best and haven't been for almost a calendar year now, bar one or two anomolies. Us having better players and luck is the reason we've picked up points this season and I'm fairly sure it'll be why we pick up points on Sunday. I'm 3 for 3 in December. No one can convince me i'm not going 4 for 4 in my predictions
filbertway Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 Mad to think Rodgers got tactically outclassed by Bruce in a game that meant nothing to Newcastle and everything to us. 2 1
fox_up_north Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 I do want to say BUT COVID It's come at the worst time for us. If we had a full strength (barring injuries) and lost then I'd absolutely think about booting him but I can't hold it against Brendan that we've got 4-5 actually useful squad members out, during the horrific run of games. I will hate watching us lose on Sunday and if we win it's a minor miracle, but I will take the covid factor into account.
Munshi Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 Going to be some serious Boo’s if we don’t end up winning this. BOOOO
Unabomber Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 This is going to be awful on the pitch and even worse in the stands. One sideways pass and it will kick off.
BirminghamFox Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 can't we just say we are Covid ridden and cancel this and the Spursy game? 1
BenTheFox Posted 10 December 2021 Posted 10 December 2021 We have to win this or we could find ourselves in trouble with the fixtures we have coming up.

Having Vestergard, perez and Lookman unavailable is a plus given the evidence of their careers here. 1
