Give Tielemans a week or two off, same with Vardy and Madders even if fit. By the time we visit Burnley hopefully have a fully fit and rested Tielemans, Vardy, Daka, Soyuncu maybe Evans and JJ too.

Rodgers plays one game every season at this time of year where a few fringe players get a run around. He may of had his hand forced this time.

Can't we rest them all after this game? We will have two full weeks off before the next PL match. FA Cup may as well be a youth team.

Surely if the current Injury/Covid list does reduce over the next week or so and we lose 3 more to the Afcon, we will fall below the EPL quota of 14 available players and have future 'league' games postponed?

Cant understand this mentality, if I could choose between 3 points against Burnley or through to the next round of the cup, i'd choose the cup, obviously wanna win both, its one game a week now for a few weeks. An we need 6 wins to defend the FA cup but probably at least 10 league wins to get enough points to get a good league finish.

It galvanises the players too. They got a proper boost from that, the best it’s been for a long time.

This has got “the ever obliging Leicester City” written all over it. So I wouldn’t be shocked if it happens. They’re shipping goals LRC, haven’t scored for 7.5 hours of football (I think I read).

But surely the confidence last night sees us win again here. Surely.

Kasper

Castagne Amartey Wilf Thomas

Tielemans Soumare KDH

Maddison Lookman

Iheanacho.

IMO we’d be silly to play Vardy in this unless we are desperate. Daka still out for 3 weeks. Iheanacho off to AFCON after this.

I’d also be surprised if Barnes gets straight back in the 11. Won’t have trained. Missed 3 games. We want minimal changes from last night to keep the momentum.

Agree that's the likely team. Fitness concerns and the ability to 'go again' might see Perez start for Maddison, or Choudhury in MF.

Enough in there to beat Norwich, who are quite depleted?

Would go with this (assuming Maddison is fit to play) except I'd play Albrighton on the right (leaving Barnes out the starting 11) and keep Lookman on the left.

Since he's off after this game, and looking at the state of Vardy at times in the last game I'd alsp be steongly inclined to start Iheanacho.

Really hoping for successive clean sheets, to give our defence a much needed confidence boost even if our two centre backs are also off after this match too. (Thats just typical isn't it? Finally look more solid in defence and those players become unavailable too!)

At least we have plenty of fully fit defenders to replace them when they go ...

Got to use our AFCON players while we still have a chance, can’t risk Vardy with Daka out and Kels off after this one.

Vs. Norwich

                     Schmeichel

Castagne - Amartey - Ndidi - Thomas

     Tielemans - Soumaré - KDH

  Maddison  -  Iheanacho  -  Lookman

Then some rest and rotation Vs Watford. Maddison and Tielemans will likely need a rest. Barnes will hopefully be back, and Justin on the bench maybe? CB looks suspect but will hopefully have our first choice CB’s available by the Burnley game after.

Vs. Watford

                           Ward

Castagne - Nelson - Vestergaard - Thomas

       Choudhury - Soumaré - KDH

        Perez    -    Vardy    -    Barnes

And then vs Burnley 🤞🤞🤞:

Kasper

Castagne  Fofana Evans  Justin

Soumaré Tielemans KDH

Maddison Vardy Barnes

He's been claiming he's basically ready to return for weeks but, yeah, doubt he'll be back for Burnley in reality. I was just dreaming!

O-1

90+ minutes and we get a corner.

Leicester fans streaming out of the ground to get home in time for Strictly or a show like that.

Madders goes over to take it but stops to applaud the Norwich fans near the corner flag and does a couple of photos and autographs to the Norwich fans in the front row.

Big Dan with a storming header as a farewell before he heads to AFCON

(If the cross beats the defender at the near post😄

Personally I would go as strong as we can on Saturday.  Our confidence must be up after Tuesday but will still be fragile so a win is vital to get some momentum.

Thinking ahead to Watford, we can only control ourselves but they have a big strategic decision to make too.  They are deep in the shît but will still fancy their chances of getting out of it so might well put out a team of reserves and kids.  On balance I would rest, or at least bench, all our big hitters and if we lose so be it.  I get the stuff about being the holders and respecting the competition but these are exceptional times so I don’t think we have that luxury.

Normally agree but we are in a bad place. We cannot risk a further injury or we will be playing the U23s in the PL and Conference. We have a better chance of winning the Europa Conference League than the FA Cup. So let's focus on that, much rather win that.

Add to that that Watford will likely play a complete 2nd string with young players and we should be more than capable of winning whoever we put out. I find it baffling that people would consider resting players against Norwich!!!

Well he is in the Maldives currently so I would say he is still a few weeks away at least.

My favourite player but he won't be back until mid Feb at the earliest. :(

Yes - I was assuming that your Fofana and Justin picks were tongue in cheek and was joining in the fun ….

…. not that it was ever that funny!

They’ve not scored in 5 games so if we don’t keep another clean sheet then we should fire whichever cretin is at fault out of a cannon into Rutland water

This, but give Barnesy another week off, put Lookman on the left and Albrighton on the right.

Vardy unsurprisingly out for a month but Maddison should be ok. Got to hope one of Vardy or Daka make a fast recovery for Burnley. Perez will be up top against Watford I'd imagine, with Barnes and Lookman..

Mad isn’t it

we assumed we’d lose on Tuesday so playing vards and risking him being out a month when daka is already out seemed a nuts call.

so we’re left with no striker for the next three games and possibly brighton too

perez is not a main striker - we saw that at Luton in the league cup (and on other occasions although I used Luton as an example because if he couldn’t do it there he isn’t doing it anywhere! )
