Next Game: Norwich (1st January 2022, at 15:00) - POSTPONED DUE TO A BUNCH OF SALADS

For this game, if Maddison is fit, I would play him as one the right side of the 3 man midfielder and play Tielemans in the central role. I doubt Vardy will be fit so front 3 of Perez, Iheanacho and Lookman. Unchanged back 4.

I'd give him the week off, he has never shown up against his former club for us.

Something quite exciting about the “who the hell can we patch up to get on the pitch” vibe we have going on right now!

Id guess:

                     Kasper

Castagne Amartey Ndidi Thomas

                   Soumare

         Tielemans       KDH

                   Maddison

       Iheanacho     Lookman

Guessing Vardy isn’t fit.

If Maddison isn’t, Perez in for him and more of a 4-3-3.

Feel like we will have some nice momentum for a change if we can win this…we should, they’re awful.

Please be noisy again, makes going to Filbert Way so much more fun.

It galvanises the players too. They got a proper boost from that, the best it’s been for a long time.

This has got “the ever obliging Leicester City” written all over it. So I wouldn’t be shocked if it happens. They’re shipping goals LRC, haven’t scored for 7.5 hours of football (I think I read).

But surely the confidence last night sees us win again here. Surely.

Kasper

Castagne Amartey Wilf Thomas

Tielemans Soumare KDH

Maddison Lookman

Iheanacho.

IMO we’d be silly to play Vardy in this unless we are desperate. Daka still out for 3 weeks. Iheanacho off to AFCON after this.

I’d also be surprised if Barnes gets straight back in the 11. Won’t have trained. Missed 3 games. We want minimal changes from last night to keep the momentum.

Remember him playing ST in the 3-1 home loss to leeds, without doubt the worst striker performance I’d seen since promotion. Utterly useless, out of his depth and the leeds back 4 would have never had an easier game. Honestly was astonished at how awful he was. So much so, I’d never stick him ST on his own ever again.

Might be our only option unless we go with no striker?

Nothing said about Maddison - just watching it back and initially looks like maybe cramp, when the physios were on they didn't seem to do much of an "inspection" as such, hopefully just precautionary

He tends to be susceptible to cramp, seems to need a stretch at some point after the hour in most games

Yes I think this one is likely or maybe barnes coming in for Maddison depending on relative fitness and recovery. Not sure about exciting but I certainly sense a bit of the Dunkirk spirit going on. Loved last night. Never give up the faith. Shame the Mrs has the Rona bad and we couldn’t go. Just waiting to show positive myself. Didnt have time to give away tickets or car park.

Any news on who might return for this one?

I can't remember the prognosis for all our centre backs. Obviously Fofana won't be available, but what of Soyuncu and Evans?

Both were said to be 3 weeks away a few days ago.

Anyone else have a sense that JJ and lil’ Wes are done for the season ?

No. Justin needs u23 games for fitness. Fofana was on Instagram earlier playing beach football with a bunch of kids in the Maldives after cocking about on a jetski with his missus. I'd be hopeful maybe of a month with both. Hopefully they both come back without too many issues and not like Pereira with niggly issues every couple of weeks.

Considering that Sargent is by some distance one of the worst players I've seen kick a ball in the Premier League in recent memory, I'm convinced we're going to find a way to let him score against us. It is the Leicester way.

That said, 2-1 to the high risk army.

After Liv do not lose this boys. Actually, don’t even think you can draw this. A win or don’t come back. Joking.

This is the first of 3 very important games for us I feel.

Kasper

Timmy

Wilf

Big Dan

Young Luke

KDH

Choudhury

Perez

Lookman
Iheanacho

Barnes

Give Tielemans a week or two off, same with Vardy and Madders even if fit. By the time we visit Burnley hopefully have a fully fit and rested Tielemans, Vardy, Daka, Soyuncu maybe Evans and JJ too.

Rodgers plays one game every season at this time of year where a few fringe players get a run around. He may of had his hand forced this time.
