Next Game: Norwich (1st January 2022, at 15:00) - POSTPONED DUE TO A BUNCH OF SALADS

I wonder if the sides near the bottom will be looking to postpone as many games as they can in January so they can get through the transfer window.

How have they managed to lose like 10 players in 2 days?

Surely this is going to mean an extended season and no doubt play havoc into the start of next season given the 2022 World Cup.

I haven't really followed European leagues but is the premier League only one being affected?

This due to processes? Or simply the case numbers in England, and are other legaues in a winter break?

Said it before on ft, i cant see this season being finished cos this bloody virus is just warming up, NYE will see a massive jump in cases and prob a shut down.  ☹️☹️

I really don’t know what the answer is here.  Teams can’t play with only 12-13 players but at the same time teams can’t play 3-4 games a week come April.  One things for sure, the World Cup really needs binning off now, as if it wasn’t already an appalling idea now with Covid just sack it off.

Appaling but not surprising. Loads of clubs including Burnley and others soldering on. As Rodgers said we are not getting the violins out

We've barely got a team ourselves but played twice in two days. They've gone from being able to fill a squad in previous game to suddenly only having 4 outfield players train a mere 24 hours later. I'm not having that.

Either there covid measures are appaling or they are frankly hiding behind it so they don't have to fulfill the fixture.

Premier League need to get tough on this and if you have to request a postponement you forfeit the fixture and the opposition win 3-0.

Season wont ever end this rate with clubs constantly requesting postponement. Forfeit the fixture or get some U23's in.

Isn't this a good thing, considering our diabolical injury situation? Players can get some rest and maybe we can get a few back for the Burnley game.

There is probably more chance of the league being cancelled than the world Cup!

Yes and no. Increases the chances of us playing games without the lads who are off to AFCON
