Last season, I don't think Hamza, Thomas and Barnes started together.  Rodgers seemed reluctant to use all 3.

 

I think Rodgers guards against too much I experience.  KDH's qualities are such that he is treated as a more experienced player.

 

Barnes still seems to be seen as a bit of a youngster.  Choudhury has never really bedded into the side.   How.many league games has he ever started? Without checking, I would guess at 30-40.

Looks very much like we are struggling for numbers, I wasn't aware Maddison was injured but playing Vardy so soon  is a risk.

There is a 4-4-2 option available in order to ease Vardy back in and utilise two players that must be feeling frustrated, as they are not getting the time on the pitch that they would like, and being played in a way, that they struggle to adapt to.

These players have done a job in the past. It just hasn’t worked out for them here.

They are only playing games because of the horrendous injury list we’ve had at the back this season.

As for Perez, I actually can’t remember a single game he’s played this season other than West Ham away. 

If any 2 from Evans, soyuncu, Amartey, Ndidi, Choudhury or Justin were available to play cb then Vestergard does not make the strongest 11. If any of Ricardo, Castagne, Justin or Thomas  is available than Bertrand doesn't either. I don't think all those players have been out at once so either it was their first couple of appearances and it hadn't registered how catastrophically bad these 2 were yet or Rodgers deliberately chose not to play his strongest team.

If he changes the 2 centre backs after the first clean sheet in ages then he is an idiot. Albrighton should be right back and Lookman should be right wing. 

 

Looks to me that brendan has gone safety first again against a side that can't defend.

That's what he tends to do and then goes very attacking other times.

 

I think he's in the mindset at the minute that the amount of goals we are shipping we've got to go back to basics and fight with more aggression and protection in the team. He does this in phases and then other phases realises we aren't much better like that and might as well attack.

If there is any fear over this one it is that Leeds have not won in the league since mid-January and thats lkely to change soon enough. I'd be more fearful of that than any 'new manager bounce'.

 

But that Leeds defence is there to be got at and we got a huge result on Tuesday so there's a bit less pressure on us going into it.

 

We've scored in almost every game since Chelsea back in November so you imagine we will get chances. If we take get an early goal hopefully we won't make the same mistake again.

In a really bad mood today, have to self isolate for a hospital procedure so have to miss the game  Restrictions gone everywhere else but not if you need the NHS!

 

Have given my season tickets to a lovely work colleague to take her grandson to his first game, but hasn’t made me feel any better! So come on boys, give me something to cheer about while I’m stuck in my house!
