He can make whatever requests he likes until he's their player.

I'm sure if it actually  happens it'll be more than just spitting in the hand & shaking on it

as that is a swipe aimed at Rodgers lets use a different player, different manager & different club....

"Ousmane Dembele is reportedly keen on moving to Chelsea this summer, but wants assurances from Thomas Tuchel before he agrees to a deal at Stamford Bridge."

That assurance is...
"that he will be a Chelsea starter and not subject to strict squad rotation, That has been the case at Stamford Bridge since Tuchel’s arrival, with Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Timo Werner among those vying for the forward positions

Do you think this is right?

That wasn't a swipe aimed at Rodgers

No way would I agree to selling him for £8m which isn't even all up front or guarantees. Absolutely astonishing that is, he's worth £15m easy and if nobody will pay it then bloody keep him and play him.

Very true. Problem is the stubborn manager we got in charge. He's not a fan to say the least lol

Obviously social media reports are mostly bollocks but if it is true that Torino are low-balling us then I really hope we tell them to piss off. If a £15m fee was agreed then there's no way we should accept a penny less. They are obviously keen him so put up or shut up. Hopefully Samp can come in with a decent bid and help us out a bit.

Aren't we trying the same with Lookman?

Lets be honest, there’s no way we’re getting £15m for him because he’s not simply not worth that much to anyone. He’s also on reasonable wages which makes him less desirable. Think we’ve just got to hope someone comes in with an offer around £10m.

So the manager has a different opinion to you about a player, that makes the manager stubborn in your books?

Perhaps, just perhaps, he just knows the player better than you do.;)

My issue is when a player is black balled for no apparent reason, praet was having the best season of his career 20/21 playing in rm, when we beat bloody man city 5-2....jn their house... And he scored against Burnley as well. Yes he got injured but when he returned he was treated as uf he were Matty James. Disrespectful to say the least and just plain weird.

He’s living off that pass against Brentford.

He’s has quite a few average games, where people were calling for him to be swapped out for Choudhury! He had an injury prone season and he’s proved to be made of glass. We need to cut his wages from the squad, so take what we can get and shift him on.

Stating he’s a Belgium international, is a bit like people talk about Skipp being an England international, we wouldn’t want him.

It's not that weird, you just think he's better than the manager does - it happens. If he was half as incredible as his supporters seem to think then we'd be fending off suitors left right and centre, not trying to convince a bang average Serie A team to take him off our hands permanently.

Check out his stats before that injury. Rodgers obv knows more than anyone of us but he's ought to have more patience.

More than good enough stop gap for tielemans leaving. For the time being ofc

Genuine question, if everyone is fully fit and playing well, do you think Praet gets into our starting 11?

Just check transfermarkt, not always reliable but usually a good indicator. He played RM once that season and twice the season before. So if that’s the season of his career then he’s about as good as me.

By the end I don’t think he was playing him because he knew he was leaving and we could easily live without him. Feels like you’re trying to blame something on Rodgers that isn’t really relevant and not important at all. Praet never showed he was good enough to be a consistent performer in this team, he can’t step in to replace Tielemans.

Were we to sign a good right winger and move Maddison back into the center I wouldn't be totally opposed to that (i.e. Ndidi sitting in front of the back four, Praet or KDH running box to box and Maddison as the playmaker). Otherwise, not for me. I don't see the player you do but such is the way of the world.

Without Youri, yes. If Youri stays he has to play second fiddle to Tielemans and the manager's new favourite KDH

I get what people are saying that he had a few average games. So did Tielemans, that's why Rodgers had been playing him ahead of Youri. It was only that nasty hamstring injury that got Youri his place back in the side. For a long while in Tieleman's first full season, Praet looked by far the better value Belgian.

Praet's issue is that if he comes back here, it's a World Cup year. A few international managers are already putting out the comments about picking players that are regulars and getting game time. Players like Praet, Vestergaard and Ward will be wanting matches to secure a place in their national squads too. It only takes one player having an outstanding couple of months and *boom* your squad place has gone.

Praet left because he wanted to be more than a squad player, but that's exactly what he is. I wouldn't be averse to him hanging around, but only as a stop gap to cover in the event of injuries or for rotation (maybe with KDH?). He offers more than Choudhury and, probably on 1st season form, Soumare

But, come on, an in form Tielemans is in a different league to Praet. If YT goes we need another creative midfielder. If the solution turns out to be Praet then our potential prospects will be seriously diminished

Both seasons Praet was here Youri played 37 and 38 PL games, so when did he lose his place in the side?

Praet had a huge opportunity away at West Ham and was complete cack. Never recovered from that

It's weird how some players like Kel and Praet seemed to be in a constant one chance saloon, whereas Perez was able to suckle on Brendan's teet as he put in week after week of awful performance.

he was equally as cack as the rest of the team that day but then again it was his first start after being out for 3 months with a torn hamstring. he had about 20 minutes off the bench against man utd in the FA Cup a couple of weeks before that.

Kinda of disagree there as Perez was completely excluded this season until we had to go for it in Eindhoven

Would agree, Perez was cast loose just as Praet was (Not Kel, thats something different) and only real difference was that Perez was content to sit and wait it out (Earning a wedge) and Praet was not.
