Kinda of disagree there as Perez was completely excluded this season until we had to go for it in Eindhoven

He was thankfully, he did get multiple multiple chances before Rodgers really couldn't ignore it anymore though.

You and @Dahnsouff make fine points for this season though, I think it really shows that Perez knows that he's won the lottery by joining us whereas Praet has higher expecations.

Based on that I'd prefer players with Praet's mentality than Ayoze's, but then you need to be willing to play them, otherwise it'll just turn nasty.

Read today that Forest are after Praet 😁 apparently he is back at Leicester now and has left Torino. I would imagine this is standard until a deal is sorted out.  Torino still not wanting to pay the money and want to extend the loan.

Soumare also back in preseason today.

We did the same with Ghazzal last season.

At least we would get a decent fee from Forest instead of Italian clubs taking the p*ss out of us/him.

Last year's Ghezzal transfer has shown the world that if you want to shaft us, we will bend over and allow it.

Besiktas should have been told where to go.  It would save us money in the long run.

I read it on a Forest fan account but no source provided. Leicester Fan TV said it was reported in the Mercury but i could not see Forest mentioned in the Mercury at all!

So I understand this, Torino did say a while back that they want to build their team around him, but we are expected to pick up the tab and let his contract down.  Is that a fair analysis? The Club should make it known publicly that we as a Club do not do loans to Italian & Turkish Clubs as they have your Y-Fronts around your ankles every time.

Surely a Prem new boy would do well to buy Dennis. For a mere 12-15 mil you get an experienced international who whilst not spectacular. Will add some nous and quality to your team. It's a low risk punt really.

Maybe he prefers Italy as sees himself back there.

Its the wages more than the transfer fee. Newly promoted clubs be trying to get 2 or 3 players on his wage.

I was thinking more about the veracity of a tweet that stated he was back at Lcfc today rather than the gist of your post

....you get the feeling that as a club we are not as aggressive or clued up as we should be!!!

In the Ghezzal deal when we bought him in, even going by Transfer Market valuations, we bought him for £12.6m (TM had him at £3.6m) and we sold him to Besiktas for £2.7m (TM had him at £10.8m). It seems we are getting played in our negotiation.

Rudkin needs parameters and someone breathing down his next and not looking it seems to take the easier option. He has been in this role now for some time, I still feel there is a small-time head of the academy working in a shark tank.

This guy continues to play for the Belgium national side! Christ he can’t be that bad surely. Tired of the drama. If we can’t sell him Rogers needs to bury the hatchet and have a man-to-man sit down with the player. We all want what’s best for the team. Sort it out LCFC

i think we actually won the deal in the end. He ended up off of our wage bill and we got actual money for him.

He went back to his norm when he signed for them. We could have easily ended up with nothing!

Praet would add depth.  Soumare and Choudhury aren't going to play.  If we don't sign a midfielder, he would be useful especially if Tielemans does leave.  Praet's a decent player.

...can't see Praet staying here, he will want to move on!!!

If Soumare can get to grips with whatever is going on behind the curtains, then we will have a magnificent platform for this team to work off.

That's one way of looking at it.

My take is that we had a fairly modest price and Besikats wanted him.  He had demonstrated his value to them.  They wouldn't move and I would have preferred to have called their bluff.  If they don't meet our very affordable price then they can sod off.  You might think that is cutting your nose off to spite your face but what price a reputation?

I think it will come back to haunt us with Praet to Torino saga.
