Ibrahim Sangare

So we can go out and buy Sangare for £30 millish and are basically saying he's an improvement on Wilf, and then think we'll be able to offload Ndidi for £50 mill.

Definitely missing something here.

Well, Wilf has proven himself in the Prem over the last 5 years, hence the premium on his price tag

Sangaré has yet to play in either the Premier League or the Champions League

According to one of the rags we won’t be signing him unless we can sell Youri.

Says we’re willing to sell Vestergaard and Ihenacho to fund transfers if we don’t sell Youri.

For a team that is happy to defend deep (like soton or Everton ot brighton) he would be ok.

because we try and squeeze up from the back, he is simply unsuitable for that.

relevance to the title of the thread = zero!

Sangare along with Wilf would give us a really good defensive block in midfield. He's exactly the type of player we need.

Top said the funding was in place for Transfers so just go and get him. Then worry about offloading Youri etc to balance the books.

And if he flopped, we're knackered because we've sold Wilf. Add to that potentially a new right sided player and a Tielemans replacement and you've got a lot to get to gel at the same time in the same engine room. A Wilf 'replacement' is the least of our worries at the moment.

...I  would think only against the top 6, and Wilf and Ibrahim will have to rotate in the other games, otherwise it would be overkill!!!

Why on earth would anybody want us to play with two defensive midfielders again, we’ve been through that in the past and it was shit, all fans did was rightfully complain.

...the 2 DMs we played with were and are, not progressive players!!!

Wilf is a DM destroyer, happy staying deep, Mendy has the scope to be progress but seem to be playing to instructions and we are never going to get the best from him.

Sangare is a progressive skillful player, he can pick it up from his own box and drive the attack forward, taking on and beating players on the way. Intelligent enough to release to players in a better position. He isn't a real comparison to what we currently have, my only mis- giving is that he may struggle with the pace of the Premier League. His close control may not be tight enough for this league but we will only truly know if he gets here.

I brought that BS too, but the reality is we need to sell several from Praet, Perez, Hamza, Soumare, Mendy, Vesty, Youri or Nacho before we even think of buying.
