Spudulike Posted 28 April 2022 Posted 28 April 2022 No yellows for those tackles but KDH gets one when he gets fouled after cleanly winning the ball 1
ian__marshall Posted 28 April 2022 Posted 28 April 2022 Typical Mourinho performance. We'll get something out of this game though.
Jonezy Posted 28 April 2022 Posted 28 April 2022 Getting proper old-school Mourinho'ed here. Bus parked and getting away with all the dark arts, scoring their only sniff at goal. How the flip do Ibanez and Smalling get away from those tackles with no yellow? We can still do this, but we need something special and Kevin needs to get a grip on the right side.

Vacamion Posted 28 April 2022 Posted 28 April 2022 Roma fouling. A lot. Dirty bleddy foreigners like Smalling and Abraham... For once, I'm with Jenas - the Ref is not being consistent and it is having an effect on the game. Kasper has has not much to do but pick it out. Come on lads. 1
Tielemans63 Posted 28 April 2022 Posted 28 April 2022 Bit like the PSV away game so far. Hoping for a similar outcome
sishades Posted 28 April 2022 Posted 28 April 2022 Loads of effort and desire but a well drilled Roma defence and a dodgy ref has kept us out.
oxtonfox Posted 28 April 2022 Posted 28 April 2022 A goal down but we've been here before in this competition (Eindhoven). All still to play for, come on you foxes...

They benefit from a ref who seems to be (at best) incompetent. The more we whine about it the more they win. Needs some studs first retaliation...but Brendan will opt to protect Jose's 0-1 lead. 1

People say we've been attacking and the best side but as soon as Roma scored they sat back and let us attack, and the fact we've done nothing with that opportunity then its hard to praise them too much. If we do get an equalizer it'll be interesting to see if the dynamics change.

We are creating space and chances in the final third. 1

Webbo Posted 28 April 2022 Posted 28 April 2022 Dominating without looking like scoring. Roma keep putting in a little foul everytime we start building up momentum, a bit more streetwise than us. 1
Hilton Fox Posted 28 April 2022 Posted 28 April 2022 Albrighton looks out of his depth but the strength of him is his crossing. Kdh and fofana looking quality. Lookman surprisingly doing well. Maddison needs to put his shooting boots on at half time, he will make the difference here.

Strangely, I feel we are also missing Nacho. We are really missing Mendy. Tielemans can’t play that role. As much as I like Vardy, we need Nacho on to bring other players in. We also need Perez on at some stage instead of Albrighton - or Barnes and switch with Lookman. 1
splinterdream Posted 28 April 2022 Posted 28 April 2022 I said to my brother in law this morning that I thought nacho should start, and I don't think I was wrong, this is a game I think he'd do well in, love vards but he needs some game time first.
lgfualol Posted 28 April 2022 Posted 28 April 2022 If we keep pushing we can get something. Need Vardy on the ball more or he needs to get in better positions.
Popular Post Fox85 Posted 28 April 2022 Popular Post Posted 28 April 2022 Honestly surprised roma didn't have 6 or 7 yellow cards in that half. 5

Yep but you're just constantly worried about getting done on the counter as we're not robust or smart enough to stop those instances materialising.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 28 April 2022 Posted 28 April 2022 Roma cutting off passing lanes very well especially in the middle of the park. We have been a bit too slow when possession turns over, too much jogging, Roma able to get their shape back. Not a terrible half in general but defending for the goal was disappointing. Also a bit confused about the lack of yellow cards for Roma, many deliberate fouls. Jermaine Jenas slightly less insufferable than usual.
Muzzy_no7 Posted 28 April 2022 Posted 28 April 2022 If the ref carries on like this second half I’d be expecting the club to lodge some sort of complaint. I’ve counted 4 professional fouls stopping attacks or counter attacks, with no booking. Ibanez off the ball assaulting Ricardo too. Sickening. We are so poor at creating chances. 1
