Players he already knows and players that fit his sytem, not many managers get that luxury coming in half way through the season. Basically because they turnover £500m/season The fee spend is spread out over the length of the contracts - it’s the salary which is often as high as the annual cost of the fee they had a couple seasons of very low spend which they have stored up they are getting close though and will need to sell some players in the summer (if they don’t tomorrow)
