He's very highly regarded (moreso than Guehi or Tomori) and signed a contract last year. He'd be good but I'm tending towards "no chance this happens on a permanent basis". 1

Fofana is our tallest player, Rodri and Laporte are the same size as him. Not to mention that Diaz and Laporte are two of the best defenders in the world. Edited 29 May 2022 by coolhandfox 2

I was massively impressed his intelligence to read the game and make multiple interceptions as well as his composer on the ball makes me feel he could fit in perfectly here. However, I did feel that aerial dual’s are not his strongest point… I feel like after the season we just had from set pieces that it could potentially put us off, depending on what they are looking for. I feel like a partnership of him and Fofana could complement each other very well though.
