Is this why he was chosen today? As a reward for committing to the club this season, or purely because Ndidi hasn't done that well?

I hope for his and our sake he comes good. Let's hope a new manager can get a tune out of him.

I've noticed more recently that some players do need that bedding in period for up to a year, and then the following season is almost their breakthrough instead. Hope it's a blessing for us that he feels more settled and can play with focus.

He has a lot of improving to do to get used to the pace of PL.

Feels like we've tried quite hard to sell them.

Yes, but feel like we have price them both out of a move.

We have been very stubborn with our valuations, which has left us with 2 players that both don't 100% want to be here.

Scattergun management fro the club and manager.

We have 5 players who seemly don't want to be here, Praet, Soumare, Soyuncu, Tielemans, and Perez.

No sure thats a healthy for the squad.

Tielemans wants to leave.

Praet and Soumare have apparently said they want to stay.

Perwz knows he has no future at the club.

Soyuncu does as well but his last interview made it sound like he wanted to stay.

If he isn't going then just keep playing him in every game.... he'll soon get his head sorted out by participating and getting around playing in games every week. Players need to encourage him to be more vocal aswell in matches.

He won't have time to get depressed.

Same with Praet and Soyuncu....if there not going anywhere play them every week... it'll soon sort out any negative issues with their game or mind

Or we just won’t let other clubs get to take this piss .

Vieira would get him playing well I suspect. Rodgers seems not to be interested anymore in developing what we have sadly.

Perhaps if he tried playing him and others in the roles that they have previously been successful in, which is possibly why we bought them in the first place, they might flourish?

Did he not give the ball away today before Loftus cheek nearly scored

Did no one else gave the ball away yesterday or was it only him?

Praet and Soumare have only said they want to stay because there’s no clubs interested in them anymore ?

That worked out so well last time

It’s true…. Ndidi has the attributes but not the brain.

If he doesn’t stick out a leg for a penalty in his first 90 mins at CB, I’d be extremely surprised.

Genuine question,  What exactly is Soumare's role?  What does he do?

I can’t work this out at all. Rodgers didn’t rate him, now he does. Soumare wanted out, now he’s committed no matter who comes in for him.

I just hope he gets a run of games to prove himself.

Exactly this.

Rodgers said he was a hybrid of Ndidi and Youri yet I don’t think he does either job to a half decent standard.

He’s a big lad who doesn’t use his frame properly but don’t worry it’s all forgiven as he had a half decent pre-season 🙄

Soumare nearly moved to Monaco earlier in the window but a fee could not be agreed, while the Frenchman turned down a move elsewhere. Rennes, Roma, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest have all been linked with him.

“He came to me in the week and is very keen to stay now,” Rodgers said on Soumare after the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea. “He’s enjoyed his pre-season. It’s been tough for him because he thought he was on the move, but he came in and he’s committed to being here.

“I just think he will feel he doesn’t want to leave Leicester and end the story how it is. He had a difficult first year. He’s done really well over pre-season. A few clubs were interested in taking him, which makes him think, and makes his representatives think.
