To be honest Stan, having been there, the Own Goal was the least offensive thing he did, standard unavoidable sticking a leg out would have been tapped in anyway type situation.

It was the getting caught in possession, falling over, kicking the ball out of play in a panic and general sluggishness against quick players that was shocking

I wasn't there and believe every word you say lol

Evans out means that Brendan is going to have to think. An Amartey/Faes partnership deploying the same tactics with the full backs galloping up the pitch spells massive trouble.

What he comes up with who knows but it will probably be on the side of caution which we don't need as we need to win football matches urgently.

And proceeded to score an own goal on the way to a 7-0 defeat lol lol

If anything that should be enough evidence to show that he shouldn't be trusted in a senior team.

This is Rodgers we are talking about, right?!

My money is on a back 3 if Evans doesn't play.

Faes Vestergaard Amartey

Yep, that should be another really good tactic for Brent's attempt at the 10 million Jackpot Challenge!

I can see a 0-5 hammering on Saturday.

It is nothing but horrendous how Rodgers is still manager. The owner is clearly indifferent to the situation the club is in. You wouldn't have thought running the club in to the ground is a good business strategy.

Highly doubt Palace have it in them to score 5.

1-4, with us scoring first. Season tickets on the pitch at full time and boos heard in Lincolnshire.

I'd probably have said the same about Brighton - impossible to overstate just how generous we are

Brighton were at home.

I'd concede if we were at Selhurst Park but I can't see Palace going away anywhere and scoring 5. They aren't that good either, no doubt they'll be more solid than Forest but people are jumping to this conlusion because of how bad we are. Go on the Palace forum and see how many of their fans think it will be an uninteresting draw. Football predictions are always funny because people only really consider their own side.

If Roy was in charge, I’d be very confident of a Palace win. They’d contain us, and simply make life uncomfortable for us when they have the ball, like they have done previously. Palace are an okay team, I’d argue after their increased spending under Viera, there may be a distinct change in style, but they are not necessarily a better team. The perception that they are is driven by a lazy London centric media. It will be a close game, there should be pressure on both managers to win.

It really is time for BR to show us, the fans, that he is prepared to swallow some pride and make changes, take some risks, show some balls and experiment. If I was Brendan I would honestly go with:

Iversen

Amartey Soyuncu Faes

Albrighton Tilelemans KDH Castagne

Maddison

Daka Barnes

this is a very flexible system, which can flick-flack between 3-4-1-2 and 4-2-3-1, very easily, depending on what phase of play you are in

Really BR has nothing to lose at this point. If he loses this game, and he does something like the above, he can go out by saying "well I tried everything", if he wins, he looks like a genius who had the balls to change things up, as required.

Sadly, there is no chance at all that Rodgers will select Iversen or Cags. It will be the same team as last time except that Amartey will come in for Evans. God help us!

Under normal circumstances I couldn't see it either but we aren't a normal team. Home or otherwise, Brighton had never scored 5 in a top-flight game before and then up stepped Brendan's brave boys. I don't think Palace are a particularly great team at all and I'm not saying it's even likely to happen but if Roy Hodgson's stodgy old team could turn up and put 4 past Puel's mid-table bores then I certainly would not be ruling out a more expansive outfit going one better against our current shambles.

So, there was a reason why Vestergaard played in the under 23's the other day...

Lol,  don't.. Just don't..

Some teams play to their strengths..

Others mould the team around exceptional players (Mbappe,Messi, Ronaldo in his prime)

For us to play Vesty with anything less than utterly disastrous results we'd need to completely change the high press and that means no Rodgersball... Not happening in this reality..

If Zak plays Vesty? Expect defensive disaster... Again!

Once again the media just don't have the probing questions and quickfire follow ups to expose him for the absolute nonsense he comes out with.

Because like the rest of the football world they start from the total certainty of "Brendan Rodgers is a top manager", this is the "factual" starting point, like"the earth is spherical" or "night follows day".

What follows is l believe called "confirmation bias" this is the tendency to look for and only take into account things which agree with our original view and ignore, dismiss or mis-attribute anything which goes against this view.

We whose opinion is he needs to go also do this of course and l do not believe it is helpful or necessary - the results alone are enough in my view without the demonisation, mind reading and plain fantasy.
