I can't decide which way this will go. In a way I wouldn't be too disappointed with an away point especially if we come from behind to get it. Heart is saying the recent resurgence will continue and we'll win 1-2 or 0-2. Head is going 1-1.

Quite staggering that since Rodgers has arrived here where we've finished 5th, 5th and 8th and Everton have been largely dog muck that we've beaten them just once and it took a last gasp goal courtesy of VAR to achieve that.

We are long overdue beating them and I want and demand it tomorrow. Our away form is terrible for the last 18 months and it has to change. Let's hope Wolves wasn't a one off.

I'd expect that if we get battered most of the game with a sprinkling of bright spells, the odds are that the result might not be quite as favourable haha.

And winning breeds winning. In all honesty, I think we are just too good a squad to get relegated, and the cups are our only real chance at Europe due to our poor start......................................................

Shameless self-promotion: I am hosting a pub quiz at the 1852 Brewery Co. in Wigston on Sunday Nov. 13 at 8pm. C'mon down.

Shame the fair play option has gone.

You got me thinking about the US vs UK The Office pub quizes though

Has the wife anglicized or anglicised you?

UK the office pub quiz  ........ shoe throwing please

Video not working. I never watched the U.S. version of The Office. I moved to Italy in 2001, where I met my Leicester girl. We moved here in 2017 so our kids could get out of the weirdness. I ran a weekly (sometimes twice a week) pub quiz in Rome for over a decade (I have been told I am quite good at it), and just wanted to start doing one again (probably once a month or so). I work for a U.S.-based publication, so have to write in US English, so I am a complete mish-mash of word choice, spelling, etc.

Brendan Rodgers Pre-Match Press Conference vs Everton

Turned a corner?

“We still have a long way to go. We are giving ourselves a platform in games. We are defending better and we want to continue with that.”

Tielemans?

“He’s a fantastic professional. Even though he is in the situation with his contract, he has never wavered in terms of what he provides the team. He has the know-how. I will continue to work with him while he’s here. We’ll see in the coming months.”

Justin, Maddison, Barnes for World Cup?

“It’s about doing whatever they can for Leicester City and then it’s up to Gareth. For all of the players, it’s getting to this period where they play their best football and stay fit.”

Knudsen impact?

“In terms of set-pieces, Lars has made a great impact. We’ve looked strong and solid and aggressive. That was the improvement we needed to make. That’s important. His work has been excellent. The defensive work within the structure of the team, it’s analysing the details around it. A number of our goals were about transition, and we've been able to close the pitch. The players feels more comfortable.”

Ward?

“It was always going to take time as Kasper had a legendary status here. Danny is starting to relax more. He's only going to get better.”

Play style?

“Manchester City is a unique challenge. Their the best possession team in world football. We limited them and felt we could have got something. Our next three games, we will go back to our normal ways, be on the ball, attack the game, be bold, and then look to defend well. Everton made a number of signings, freshened up the team, with some experience signings. They look a good team. We will have to be at our best.”

Evans?

“We’ll decide on that tomorrow. If it’s Saturday or Tuesday. It's been slower than we would have hoped.”

Ricardo?

“He’s working very well. It’ll be January for him. Mentally he’s doing really well.”

Psychological impact of being in bottom three for WC?

“If you have to look at the table for six weeks, it can play on your mind, but our plan is not to be in there."

World Cup?

“Through that period, there will be a mixture of a slight break for the players. We'll have a training camp and some games, so we’re firing for Boxing Day. Before that, we want to finish the best we can.”

Can’t wait till we get Ricardo back, will be like a new signing :scarf:

Yes it will be nice to see him back. Unfortunately by the time he gets up to speed the season will be nearly over.

Another loss incoming

Not convinced by this. The evidence from the last 4 games suggests that we can at least hold Everton. Our defence is far more reliable than it was. I don't see anything on paper to scare us in that team and the crowd will be on their backs if we're doing well. I go with the positivity of having seen us at Wolves.

3-1

Want & demanding it :dunno:

That's where perspectives & opionions become warped...

Does anyone know where to get decent grub before the game? Just after standard pub grub, nothing fancy.

They will know best..:P

If you can be bothered with a little walk go to "Homebaked community cafe, anfield". Great little cafe with cracking pies and all re-invested in the local community. Just at the back of the Kop

Two teams with a group of good players who are massively under performing.

That said, I think we played very well against Manchester City, and, despite the result, I think we'll have maintained the confidence from the wins prior to it.

I think we'll have enough to win this although I do fear Gray will manage to bag one just because!

He won’t, absolutely no chance he will ever be an impact again. Achilles injuries end careers. Unfortunately his time here is done, and possibly in football all together.

If you are in the centre of Liverpool as we well as being a cracking pub, Ship and Mitre does good pub food
