Just tell him to stand next to Vardy and be brave but what actually happened was Barnes played further forward and Nacho was in a 2 with KDH?

I think we all feared a battering tonight. But we played some good stuff at times and but for Faes’s two hideous  f*** ups and Barnes’ consistent butchering of promising attacks, we would have got at least a point against a bang average Liverpool team. Which makes it so frustrating.

 

Pawson was predictably biased - as he invariably is for the big sides - with Thiago getting rewarded for diving here there and everywhere. Not even adding on any time at the end for the Henderson injury when we were attacking betrayed that bias for all to see.

 

The good news was that Soumare played really well - his best PL game for us - Vardy looked sharp, we caused Liverpool problems. And we didn’t get battered. And even the ever-obliging Leicester didn’t allow Nunez to score.

 

But we have to beat Fulham now, otherwise we are back in a major slump.

Watching it reminded me of England v France and that same feeling of inevitability, even though you've done a lot of things right.

Vardy isn’t a 90min player anymore more of an impact sub 50-60 min in felt sorry for Daka tonight looks like he’ll be out for a while which means we have a conundrum will it be Vardy Nacho or Perez upfront I’m sure Brendan will keep choosing Vards even though he’s not at his best, shame Madders wasn’t playing could have been a different game if he played, these performances lately have shown we need some real serious investment in playing staff bringing in players to strengthen our squad bring us back to life !

That's the issue. Barnes can be marked out of games because there is **** all else.

Barnes had a bad game, but he's not a bad player like some are saying. 

 

How has wout managed two own goals I'll never know. First looked a bit unlucky the way it went in but the second was awful.

I am not even upset about today. Things happen but we put a shift in so happy with that. Hope 2023 is kinder to us!
