I get the dissapointment, I'm there as well, but you could see the gameplay, frustrate them, they panic and open up for us, with maddison playing we might have made more of our possession.

It was odd really because if we were going to sit back and frustrate, why didn't we go with 3 at the back?

Youri couldn’t have got down the tunnel any quicker

...he should have been off the pitch,  on the table in the injury room!!!

Why we still had him hobbling around on the pitch, when the game was in the state that it was, it was all too pointless.

Another tactical shitshow from the manager. Mendy and Tielemans should have started. Vardy should have come on alongside Nacho.

You cannot setup with zero attacking intent and expect to win games. We need to go toe to toe with these teams and instead we sat deep and look scared.

If this really is the future of Leicester City and the football we play going forward, then we fully deserve to be in the Championship. Probably do us some good to spend a season in a physical league. We are pathetic.

Knew we were always sitting deep when ndidi started. Can't afford to do this against a team like arsehole who'll constantly press for 90 minutes. It's ok to sit deeper if there's a creative outlet in the middle of the park, we had fcuk all. Game crying out for Mendy and tielemans to start in madders absence. WTF.

We weren't great but how ****ing shite is all this time wasting and diving?! See it week in week out. To counter it you add time on at the end of the game. Multiple times we've seen it against us this season. But I repeat, we weren't great. We didn't deserve anything in the grand scheme of things. It's just frustrating as a fan.

Hadn't we used all our subs at that point?

What a boring game. I’m sick of this backfoot style of play, obviously under instruction from Rodgers. Wingers are being expected to defend where it t should be defenders should be expected to attack, and that Fvckin goalie is gonna take us down, play the Fvckin ball up the pitch and the players will eventually get the idea not to hang around the box.

Insipid, tepid, weak. Everything we had against Spurs was missing today. Looked very much like they didn’t believe they could do anything without Maddison in the side - something they’d better get used to. Love the club, but Madders would be mental not to move on in the summer from his point of view. Very disappointing afternoon. Arsenal were there to be got at and we didn’t land one jab

That was pathetic.

0 attempts on goal.

0 corners.

No need to add anything extra.

Well, maybe a fair bit more  added time for their constant chucking themselves on the floor with pretend injuries and constant time wasting in the second half, but yes we were pathetic, and maybe the less added time was a blessed relief to be honest

From the 1st minute we lacked belief, we lacked spirit, we were totally passive, we were slow and lacked energy. This is after the players were told to go out and press and be on the front foot. They were everything but that. You’d think Rodger’s would be raging at the fact his pre-match instruction was totally ignored but he was his usual passive self on the touchline. Really poor today from the team and the boss, showed far too much respect to a big 6 club. Again.

Re the XG - To be fair the ball was in play for less time than it ever had been in a match so with a proper ref, a fair wind, I’m confident we could get 0.02 or almost win a corner.

So what happened last weekend when we went chasing a game in midfield ? Got repeatedly ran though by more skillful players.

Played teams like Liverpool and beat them at home by keeping shape

so firstly:

if you stand off and allow more no-pressure passes, you're more likely to concede

more likely is a measure of probability. doesn't mean you will concede more in a particular game, but that the odds aren't on your side. increasing the pressure intensity improves your odds of scoring and reduces your odds of conceding.

secondly, you confuse putting pressure on as a team with moving out of position. pressing not as a team leaves you open, (individuals chasing the ball rather than as packs like at man utd) pressing as a team means staying in position while reducing the time opposing players have on the ball and their ability to create chances.

finally, that Liverpool win last season was an abberation through the penalty miss and another two big missed chances. a better example of a game against them that we actively won rather than that they lost is the closed doors season, in which we applied far greater pressure (and in doing so created more chances in our own merit) than in 21/22

Not sure booing at FT having lost 0-1 to the best team in the country is going to help lift moods.

Some of our fans really need to google what “perspective” means.

To be fair,  I think people were booing Craig 'Big 6 fanboy' Pawson.
