FrankieADZ Posted 8 June 2023 Posted 8 June 2023 (edited) would be a decent addition imo if we could get him for a reasonable price wouldnt want us paying OTT for a 32yr old tho Edited 8 June 2023 by FrankieADZ
Happy Fox Posted 8 June 2023 Posted 8 June 2023 Scott Parker’s key player when he was managing Fulham. 2 1
Dan Posted 8 June 2023 Posted 8 June 2023 He's a decent player to be fair, but he's older than I realised. It's this sort of deal where it hits home the level of squander. We now want Fulham players they're discarding and have a genuinely decent case to do so.
Tommy Fresh Posted 8 June 2023 Posted 8 June 2023 Definitely off of the back of him ripping us apart, he was at one stage comfortably one of the best players in the Championship, could probably do a job if the price is right.
Popular Post StriderHiryu Posted 8 June 2023 Popular Post Posted 8 June 2023 (edited) Honestly think this is a good signing for this season, to help us get back up. Add some experience and leadership whilst hopefully someone like Braybrooke takes over long term. I wouldn’t want us to sign tons of players like this but we need 2-3 in my opinion. This division is brutal in terms of number of games to play. Edited 8 June 2023 by StriderHiryu 23
EnderbyFox Posted 8 June 2023 Posted 8 June 2023 Yes please. Get him in along with Oli Norwood & we've got a right pair of Championship specialists in midfield 1

AKCJ Posted 8 June 2023 Posted 8 June 2023 I know we made him look like Zidane about 4 weeks ago but he really isn't good enough - unless he's seen as a squad player. I like that we'd be looking for experienced pros but I think for that sort of position, you need better.
foxfanazer Posted 8 June 2023 Posted 8 June 2023 I'm finding it hard to lower my expectations. In reality this would probably be a decent signing for where we are but it really does hammer home how far we've dropped 2
Dan Posted 8 June 2023 Posted 8 June 2023 People being harsh on him I think. He was comfortably one of the best at that level. 3
FrankieADZ Posted 8 June 2023 Posted 8 June 2023 looking at the bigger picture here with Cairney; he'd be a decent addition as i said earlier, but we cant go offering him a 4 yr deal, 2 with a option of a 3rd, his wages cant be stupid high, but even then hes had injury issues for a couple of seasons i think too.
Stadt Posted 8 June 2023 Posted 8 June 2023 Hmmm, if he was cheap enough on a 2 year deal max then go for it. Even in the championship his underlying numbers are surprisingly mediocre. If it was the case of Cainrey or Chair, then it's the latter every time. 1
Sankey93 Posted 8 June 2023 Posted 8 June 2023 Got to remember we’re in need a of lot of players. This would be a decent addition to the championship imo!
kingfox Posted 8 June 2023 Posted 8 June 2023 At Championship level he would be a sensible signing, as Strider said, we’ll need 2-3 players like this who have experience at this level, preferably players who have been part of promotion winning teams. 2

In recent years he's consistently been one of the better players in the Championship.
westernpark Posted 8 June 2023 Posted 8 June 2023 Him and Dewsbury-Hall both born in Nottingham. Probably would be keen to move back to the Midlands. Don’t see an issue on a two-year deal.
Popular Post Finnegan Posted 8 June 2023 Popular Post Posted 8 June 2023 Jesus fvcking christ. Now THIS is the reality setting in. 10
les-tah Posted 8 June 2023 Posted 8 June 2023 The problem is if we then get promotion then we give players like this a 3/4 year deal then we are stuck with them in the premier league and we are struggling again. Easier said than done but we need to sign them hidden gems that are happy to have a season in the championship and that can make the step up.
