Popular Post Deeg67 Posted 25 August 2023 Popular Post Posted 25 August 2023 Be pretty ironic if Praet winds up being our last Belgian standing when he's been desperately trying to get out of town for two years, and most of the board would have been happy to drive him to the airport. 9

In all seriousness Timmy looked brilliant until he damaged his face, the had 2 years of Rodgersball training. It seems all life and confidence has been taken away. I think Rodgers and the general incompetence of the football operations at the club is far more to blame than any individual player. 5
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 25 August 2023 Posted 25 August 2023 What's the likely fee? I couldn't see that amongst this threads chatter. Proven Prem defender - 5mil foxes bargain??

Some middling hopes we may be able to go shift Daka and Soumaré, probably Souttar out on loan. I’d be delighted if they all went but I doubt it.
Popular Post Sol thewall Bamba Posted 25 August 2023 Popular Post Posted 25 August 2023 (edited) Fulham Another garbage move for someone who thought they were too good for us, moving to a club worse than if they just cracked on and kept us at the levels we were at a couple of years ago. Joker. Fvck off. Edited 25 August 2023 by Sol thewall Bamba 24 2 6

Part of the problem I have with the Castagne haters (and the same goes for the Tielelmans, Barnes, Maddison haters) is that for over 40 years my generation could only dream of players of that quality. From Bloomfield's great era we had only some brief outbursts of quality like Lineker and some of the O'Neill squad, until the 2014-2021 period. Rodgrigues was better than nearly every RB I've seen at Leicester since Whitworth until the very recent past. Sometimes you just don't know what you got til its gone! 5

I want Castagne, Iversen, Ward, and Soumare to do one on permanents, for whatever we can get for them. Get them off the wage bill. For me, at this point in the window, we should keep Souttar (and play him instead of Vestergaard) and we may as well keep Daka. I'm pretty sure we won't be able to shift him anyway! Nacho or Vardy will get injured at some stage. We need two RHS wingers and another traditional number 10 imo. Hopefully get Akgun and the Sporting lad over the line, leaving us with the need for a number 10

Hopefully get Akgun and the Sporting lad over the line, leaving us with the need for a number 10 If we stick with our current three strikers (which I agree seems likely), we’ll have a problem in January/February when two of them are off to the AFCON for at least a month and we’re reliant on a 37-year-old to play full matches in a gruelling period with no back-up… 1
Stopharage Posted 25 August 2023 Posted 25 August 2023 Transfer window in January though, so if we have some late exits in this window or early Jan then Maresca will be able to get a forward in. If we’re in with a decent chance of automatic promotion still then you’d imagine the board would free up the purse strings.

Mmmm...I suspect that obtaining a quality striker in the notoriously-difficult January transfer window may be a little harder than you make it sound.... 2
Jobyfox Posted 25 August 2023 Posted 25 August 2023 It might be just me, but I feel that JJ and Ricky at their best are better than TC at his best. That would make him 3rd best RB at the club. TC is more consistent as he doesn’t spend all his time injured of course 2

TC is more consistent as he doesn’t spend all his time injured of course A fit and on form Ricardo Pereira is probably still even now one of the best full backs playing in this country. He'll quite possibly be the best technical footballer playing in the Championship this season, it's a massive testament to his character that he's happily getting on with his job and repaying the club for the patience they've had through all his injuries because he's far too good for this level. It's not really a slight against Castagne to say he's behind Ricky. Out of the other two, for me, Castagne is probably the better wing back and JJ the better full back. If I was playing with a back four I'd want to see JJ starting and if it was a conventional 352 probably Castagne. Think Castagne has better end product and makes better decisions in the final third even if he doesn't have JJs pace. Much rather have JJ covering at CB. 6

Just hope Riccy and JJ can have enough fitness between them to juggle all the games this season.

Who is going to sell that player in January at a fee we could afford. Also we smashed nothing last January. One is no longer with us the other 2 are not wanted. If that's smashing it in your eyes, I'd hate to see your idea of a fvck up. Edited 25 August 2023 by sylofox 1
