Defending corners is a team job, we have had trouble for 2 years Mads isn't going to solve it on his own.

Christ. His first game and you're already at him. In all honestly the defenders should deal with it. He just clears everything up

100%, I'm talking about the ones dropped right on his line, trying to replicate the McCabe goal v Canada at the WWC, which came from his positioning being slightly too far forward and presenting the space for someone to try that, but these are minor gripes. He looks good enough to be a prem keeper, even if it's only one game

Can’t agree as he was at fault for their goal? His shot stopping afterwards was incredible though. Not sure commanding box is something you can teach or instinct?

He's young, lots of time to improve.

Think Ndidi was at fault. Their defender got blindside and then came in front to glance.

After we signed him a fan of his team said he was scared that mads isn't as commanding in the box and that might be a problem in the championship so I wasn't too surprised, kept us in the game several times, great keeper

I think people are being harsh on him with the corners.

 

He wont face a delivery like Hamer has every week

Balls into the box was the main negative.  But that save kept us in the game....so already better then Ward.
